Analee
This poem has been requested.

To the same old words of love,
That guys have cried on bended knees,
Trying to prove they're worthy of.
I've known you for a year or so,
We've shared so many secrets together,
And I know that we are very close,
But I think each day brings us closer.
The rain may be lashing the road outside,
And the wind may be blowing cold,
But wrapped within your friendship's shawl,
I'm always warm within my soul.
I feel so safe within your company,
And I can hold you safe in my repose,
If you will let me romance you, Analee,
I'll give you a single bright red rose.
To hurt you would be to hurt myself,
So I will try not to impose,
But if you will listen the words I tell,
And hold on to the bright red rose,
Then maybe I can win your heart,
As well as your mind and soul,
And we can share our every thought,
And nevermore feel the cold.
I know that I can trust in you,
And that you can put your trust in me,
I'd lay my life on the line for you,
That's how much I love you, Analee.
Someday I hope to hold your heart,
And feel it beat within my fingers,
I'm hoping that we can conjoin our hearts,
And be as one forever.
