An Update From the Author of Curveball and Fire and Ice
New Chapters! (:
So, I know I've been gone for a while, so I just wanted to stop in and update you all so you wouldn't think I fell off the planet or something.
My computer is being worked on. It should be done on June 22, today. Which means that, by the time this is up, I'll have my computer back. (: I'm seriously ecstatic because I've never sent my computer away to be fixed and, as lame as it is, this is the longest I've ever been away from it. I was assured that they would save my documents before I took it in, so I know that Curveball and Fire and Ice are safe.
Since I'm on the topic, I should tell you guys that I went through this crazy writing phase where I finished like a chapter a day, so I've probably finished about four chapters of Curveball and I think there will be about four or five more chapters on top of those, so I'm assuming that I'll end this story with about 20 chapters. I think you guys might hate me for about three or four of those chapters though. The ending is kind of strange and I don't know if it's what you guys are expecting. I think the story itself is kind of just one big, unexpected twist because it's kind of like a role reversal. I haven't read very many romances about baseball and I certainly haven't read anywhere both main characters play baseball. The chapters leading up to the end are kind of filled with drama. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Just know that you guys will probably hate me for a while and I'm okay with that (:
That being said, I might have to put the story on hold near the end of July. I'm hoping to finish at least Curveball by then, but I'm not sure. ): ): ):
I'm a very busy person. I'm a member of the Color Guard and I play Tennis. Band practices for Color Guard and Tennis practices are brutal enough alone, but I have two full books to read, three excerpts from books, three essays and a essay test to study for. August 1st is the deadline I've set for myself, so I might have to put my writing on hold at the end of July to meet my deadline. I'm taking pretty demanding classes next year and that work has already started. I wish my life didn't interfere with my writing, but it does and I can't change that. It's not an excuse, but I refuse to let my school performance suffer because of my writing.
I'm sorry that this was soo long. I didn't intend for it to be. Anyway, I hope you guys don't hate me yet. Be on the lookout for an update or a new chapter very soon! (:
