An Affiliate Online Business You Can Be Proud Of!

Are you looking for an affiliate online business you can be proud of? This is probably not something you’ve thought about. There’s so much competition out here, and so many scams and different ways to make money, that you’ve probably just thought, how can I survive and carve out my little niche. Let me just back up a bit to tell you what happened to me. I was the typical affiliate marketer when I started out in this business. The two things that kept me in the game were, firstly, I hated my job but I didn’t have to work more than 35 hours in a week so it gave me the time to work quite a bit online. Secondly, the economy was just starting to go really bad so there weren’t many regular jobs out there for me. So forward I went.

However, a few things happened that changed the course of my online career. Matter of fact, they saved me from quitting altogether because if you haven’t experienced this yet, hopefully you won’t. The more things didn’t happen for me, the more hours I worked, and the frustration kept mounting. Until you have success, you begin to wonder if it’s even possible. Maybe I just wasn’t good enough at this to make it! Ever heard of the 97% club. Well I did and it seemed that’s where I was heading. That’s the percentage of internet marketers who fail and quit. Somehow that statistic made me feel better because I realized I wasn't alone. So what was I not doing?

As I just mentioned, a few things happened. The first was that I came across someone who told me I needed to take the time to learn how to do this, and I also needed to learn how to be a business owner. Though we all start out small, it is still a business opportunity, and the only way to grow is to run it like a business. I didn’t know how to do this, nor did I know how to be disciplined enough if I didn’t have my boss looking over my shoulder.
