An Adwords Horror Story and How to Avoid Making One for Yourself

It isn't long since my friends bought a "pack of Google Adwords" from a site costing them a whopping $30. I wonder why someone wants to purchase a thing that comes for free. Anyways it eventually turned out they didn't have a site to put the package to use. Go figure.

They just bought the package for the heck of it, hearing there roommates that they made enough money for party and boozing, they thought it was a cool idea to invest $30 and get paid around $150 while sitting on their butt. But what there friends didn't tell them was the concept behind the "Adwords" which basically requires them to OWN a web page to put the ads onto, so here they were stuck with a package they couldn't use.

More action was to follow…they went on venturing how to create a web page, get a website domain and register. That's not all; they realized all this will come for a price of another $30 or so, but they were really foolish enough to go ahead, waste more money and made a website with three web pages, phew now that was some work, right!!!!!!!!

It doesn't stop here, I must tell you it gets even more interesting as we go on, to their amazement they were not earning as much as they thought they would and eventually one fine day one of these guys come to me and ask, "What does this crap CPMs mean?", I get shocked and ask him, doesn't he even know what Clicks per minute stands for, and he's out using the Google adwords package.

He told me he was reported by emails that his earnings were low cause of low CPM rate and he was perplexed to solve his problem. He said he has pasted X number of links on his site to other premium sites. I asked him what his site was all about he said streaming live audio and songs, and mostly he had placed links to other sites which were in real business of making money and providing services, he said it was an idea almost all his peers follow, what he didn't know was that all this didn't workout in the end.

And so was his fate like many others who just happen to get pulled into the so called money making business which lures them to make easy and quick money at the expense of quite a small amount and a promise to earn a lot more.

From which ever site these guys purchased the package, they were promised that if the return the package within 3 months from the date of purchase they would be offered a complete payback and all there amount including the shipping charges would be repaid, but for the lazy bums this seemed a hectic job too and for the fools they were, they thought keeping Adwords and checking it out later is a more feasible option.

Goodness grace from the heavens above had never had pity on these brainless creatures. As time passed and the Adwords package didn't pay them even a quarter of the cost even after 8 months their site is online, with a broke pocket and an empty mind, these guys came to ME and asked, "How in the world can I start earning profit from Adwords???"
