Winehouse, 24, was rushed to the hospital Tuesday after reportedly suffering a seizure. The troubled singer was taken to the University College Hospital in north London by ambulance. Chris, a rep for Winehouse, said Tuesday, "Amy is fine and she is on her way home." He also said, "She was taking a new [medication] as part of her anti-drug treatment program. And it was an adverse reaction to that new drug. You have to try different things, but unfortunately this was not the right one."

Winehouse’s father, Mitch, has said that his daughter is "right as rain" following her release from the hospital. She underwent a number of medical tests and they were waiting on the results. Mitch Winehouse also said that his daughter has gotten her appetite back and asked for KFC chicken while she was in the hospital. He said, "Amy’s responded well to treatment. I must admit, it was very frightening last night, seeing her in that state. But she is with good friends, not hangers-on."

Winehouse has been battling a crippling addiction to drugs and alcohol and has suffered a number of health problems recently. Last month she was rushed to the hospital after fainting at her London home and her father later announced that she was suffering from the early stages of emphysema from years of cigarette and crack smoking. She also had a bout with impetigo. Her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, was recently sentenced to 27 months in prison (nine of which he has already served).
