Fielder-Civil, 25, will spend the holidays in jail waiting for his January 18 trial. Fielder-Civil is charged with "conspiracy involving alleged witness tampering in his upcoming assault trial." It was reported Friday that if the case does go to trial it will probably take place in early June. Winehouse arrived at the courthouse with Fielder-Civil’s mother, younger brother, and a "family friend." When her husband was led into the courtroom he smiled and winked at Winehouse and mouthed to her, "I love you. Are you alright?" Winehouse nodded yes. After his bail was denied Fielder-Civil was led away and mouthed to his wife, "I’ll all you." Winehouse blew him two kisses.
Fielder-Civil was arrested November 8 for allegedly truing to manipulate a witness in his upcoming trial for assault. Fielder-Civil was supposed to appear in court with an unidentified man on charges of assaulting a barman last June. Four other men were arrested in connection with the investigation and were reportedly plotting to pay a witness $400,000 to alter their testimony. It has not been revealed if Winehouse was involved in the plot or if she even knew about it. Winehouse has not commented on the situation.
Winehouse, 24, and Fielder-Civil were married last May. The couple was arrested in Bergen, Norway on October 18 on charges of marijuana possession. The couple and a member of Winehouse’s entourage were arrested in their hotel room after police were tipped off that they were in possession of nearly 7 grams of marijuana. The couple paid a fine and was released. Now they are appealing the pot charges claiming that they were not made aware that if they paid the fine it is the same as admitting guilt.
