Amy Winehouse Arrested Again

Winehouse’s rep said Tuesday, "I can confirm that she did go in voluntarily to be interviewed and was placed under arrest, as is common practice in the U.K., before being questioned. She hasn’t been charged with anything." Winehouse was "arrested by appointment" and was reportedly fingerprinted, and provided a DNA sample via a saliva swab, which is a requirement for any person who is arrested. She is being investigated for "perverting the course of justice" according to a statement released by Scotland Yard.

It has been rumored that the police were questioning Winehouse about her finances. Her husband Blake Fielder-Civil was arrested last month on charges of witness tampering and assault against bar man James King stemming from an incident in June. Fielder-Civil and four other men were arrested for allegedly attempting to get King to recant his statement by offering him $400,000. At the time of his arrest it was stated that police did not think that Winehouse was involved in or that she was even aware of the conspiracy. Now investigators are reportedly wondering where Fielder-Civil came up with the cash for the bribe.

Fielder-Civil is expected to remain behind bars until after the Christmas holiday. Winehouse has canceled all of her upcoming tour dates through the end of the year. At first it was reported that she had cancelled the dates on doctor’s orders, but she later revealed that she could not perform with her husband in jail. Winehouse said at the time, "I can’t give it my all onstage without my Blake. My husband is everything to me, and without him, it’s just not the same." Now it seems she may end up behind bars as well…
