Amor Immortalis - Prologue

Amor Immortalis translates from Latin to "Immortal Love". This is a series about a human girl getting involved in the troubles of two gorgeous immortals. Picture of Adarian and Cerelian.
Prologue - A Kiss of Death

Adarian ran. His training wasn't helping against this mad creature. Now after the Deamion had taken his sword and destroyed his shield all was left was to run. He dashed around a boulder. This isn't real, that was true. The final test of his training to become a Immortalis.

And he was determined to succeed. He hadn't spent twelve years since the age of nine in the mountains, just to fail. Adarian searched the dry crusted dirt for a weapon. He had Abilities, of course, every halfie had them. The Ability to pick up anything and know how to kill anything with it. The projected Deamion will meet his end, Adarian thought as he picked up a rock that had the point and edge of a blade.

He sprinted out from behind the boulder and came face to face with a true nightmare.

Orange skin, flame red spiked hair, five sharp-pointed horns, blade like teeth that built upon rows and rows... and the height was unmatched. Whilst Adarian stood at 6 feet and 3 inches, the Deamion stood at least 7 feet and 5 inches. The Greek hero didn't flinch as the Deamion roared and sent spittle in all directions.

Adarian lunged and dodged the flickering blade scaled tail as it swept out in front of him. Then, with all his might, he plunged his rock into the caverns where the heart should be.

The Deamion disintegrated into dust.

Helen, already known as the Lethal Beauty, stepped out from behind an oddly misplaced tree.

"Halfie." She said after Adarian had bowed to the royalty in front of him. The daughter of Zeus and Leda, the wife of King Tyndareus of Sparta. Her body glowed of the fair whiteness of her skin. Her eyes were pitch black and her mouth blood-red. She moved as though gliding on water, peaceful, aloof. She made men feel as if their bones were water. Adarian was not most men and merely felt the tightening of his groin.

"Helen of Troy." He murmured. Her dark eyes darkened even more. Word of what had happened had gotten around and word of Helen's mistake had also gotten around. Her disbelieving Cassandra, the woman who had the special Ability to see the future. She had seen the destruction of Troy.

"Boy." She snapped, "Don't ever speak that name. Now, tell me your Immortalis name." She inquired.

"Cerelian Dunes," Adarian complied. Cerelian stood as his master and will soon own him to command in his force of Immortalis. And Adarian will live forever.

"As you know, I am the daughter of Zeus. I have an ability from my parentage only I have. I can change human Squires to Immortalis."

"How?" Adarian's voice cracked. He'd always wondered but an Immortalis took a vow to never reveal the secret.

"A kiss." She whispered and she moved gracefully toward Adarian. Then, she leaned down with him frozen and placed her blood-red lips on his.

Everything went black.

And then, flashes of scenes of the rest of his life. Terror and pain were the common emotions the images left. And then, it stopped on a girl...
