American Baby

Dry the tears behind her eyes.
She wakes up,
Arms up with the sun,
Flowing hair falls down past delicate bones,
Perfection still existing in and out of her window,
She peers in the mirror.

Hungry for the experience of daylight.
Rosy pink her cheeks speak for her
Modest mouth that will not whisper
The extasy endured in the night,
A sly smile and...

A kiss to his neck
Alone he sleeps,
She's
Out the door. A walking princess flocks
The afternoon traffic.Proud she stands.

Pace quickens,
Mind begins to race.
Her America makes her feel like all she needs
To win in life is this
Complexion of her pretty face.

Self deprivation has left her heart
And stomach two empty pits,
But temptation and
Contemptment in the mirror has replaced it.
What is this world coming to?

This wondering in the morning makes her worry.
Makes her wander.
Where's she going?
In the car,
Turn the key,

Up down, and upside down, she drives until she
Can feel nothing.
She is free, devoid of any personality or fear she
Has to flee. The cure for all this madness is to tell oneself no lies,
Make no alabies,

It's time to gain temporary highs through our love and our lives,
Not through the favored judgment
Of those twisted, zoombie eyes.
