American Association of Virtual Bankruptcy Assistance
The following article will explain the importance of having an Association for the edification, encouragement, networking and support of Virtual Bankruptcy Assistants.
Virtual Bankruptcy Assistant is a new career which began in 2005. Originally called, Bankruptcy Processor, it evolved to Virtual Bankruptcy Assistant in early 2006.
Many have been trained to prepare bankruptcy petitions. Which are done under the direct supervision of the Consumer Bankruptcy Attorney. Virtual Bankruptcy Assistants (VBA's) run fully committed, legitimate businesses.
Most are SOHO's (Small Office/Home Office's). VBA's maintain a secure office area which in most cases include a password protected computer and locked filing cabinets. When the home office is a dedicated room in the home, the Virtual Bankruptcy Assistant maintains a secure office setting. Meaning the door to the office is locked when the Virtual Assistant is not present or not working. Recently, Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys were concerned about allowing confidential information leave their office. Moreover, handing over confidential information to someone who literally has just walked into their office right off the street!
For this reason and so many more, the American Association of Virtual Bankruptcy Assistants organization was formed. The AAVBA is a nonprofit organization. Current Virtual Bankruptcy Assistants now have a legitimate organization to call their own. New VBA's now have an association they can join for support and networking. Membership through the AAVBA will ensure Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys that the VBA they are contracting has been background checked and certified. In most cases, VBA's also have a typing certificate.
Virtual Bankruptcy Assistants have 5 to 20 years working in the Corporate environment. Aside from bankruptcy petition preparation, they are experienced in real world situations and know how to work independently and under pressure.
The AAVBA offers a VBA Locater where Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys can research and locate a Virtual Bankruptcy Assistant.
Once contracted with the attorney, the VBA will handle each assignment independently. The AAVBA has parterned with GoGetNotary.com to promote the Virtual Bankruptcy Assistant industry. Many more businesses have also agreed to promote the AAVBA through their websites. If you would like more information about the AAVBA or the Virtual Bankruptcy Assistant industry, send an email to: vikki@aavba.org Your email will be answered within 24 hours.
