"Can you believe?" I said. "Ian and I have been together for 2 whole years! I hope he proposes!"
Tonight was my boyfriend’s and hopefully soon to be fiance 2 year anniversary. We have gotten serious lately so hopefully when I come home, I will get a rock on my finger. I don’t really care for the rock but it’s just that a ring on your left ring finger symbolizes eternal love. And I am for sure Ian and I will be together for the rest of our lives.
"O my gosh," my roommate and best friend Rachel says. "I’m sure he will, I mean why else would he be stopping by the jewelry store across the street from where I work almost every day for the past 8 weeks!"
"You think so Rach?" I asked.
"Lise, I know so!" she says.
I put on my Chanel lip gloss on my lips. I fixed my luscious brown hair with blonde highlights so that my curls were all perfect. I grabbed my Tiffany stud earrings that I got from Ian from our one year anniversary. Everything was perfect

"How do I look?" I asked.
"Gorgeous. I can’t wait till you come home with the rock on your hand!" says Rachel.
She was right. I couldn’t help but to embrace it- I look beautiful tonight. Not only that, I also feel like I am on top of the world because…
A) I am FINALLY wearing my navy blue cocktail dress from BCBG
B) My 5’6 and 130 pound body fits perfectly in this dress (which is a size 2)
C) In a couple of hours, I will one of the luckiest 22 year olds to be engaged!
DING DONG!
"He’s here!" I squealed. "Rach, wish me luck!"
"Luck," she says as I leave the door.
