Always there for you - Prologue

A bitter fight
Hello this is the prologue of my new story. It took me so long to write it because of homework from school. Enjoy ciao xx
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Amelia and Xander had been best friends since they were five years old. Amelia arrived on her first day of school teary-eyed and red-nosed and 20 minutes late. She was ordered to sit down behind a snotty-nosed, messy haired little boy who had the biggest sulk on his face and who refused to look or talk to Amelia. Amelia hated this little boy.
She knew that he hated her too, him kicking her in the shins under the table and telling the teacher she was copying his work was a tell-tale sign. The next day though, they became friends, and the week after they were officially bessies for life. They vowed to never break up and when they were adults they would buy a house and move in together and be the best friends in the whole world.
That was until that day in 7th grade when the horriblest thing happened.
Amelia had been watching Xander all day, he hadn't spoken to her or even looked at her. She was pissed off with him big time and was determined to find out what she had done wrong. When the bell rang for break Xander stormed out the class but she ran after him and dragged him into a corner of the playground.
He glared at her and rubbed his wrist
"Why have you been ignoring me all day xander?"
"Maybe because you're a violent little thug?" he spat out she stepped forward with a menacing look
"Stop stalling, talk NOW!" Xander sighed, Amelia could manipulate him easier than a cat with a mouse
"Fine the reason i have been ignoring you is...well...i...we...that us my fa-" he stammered. Amelia stepped forward again
"Speak properly" he sighed again and nodded.
"My dad has been promoted and...well...we have to move to America to be closer to his work" he avoided her eyes
"what?!" she shrieked Xander nodded
"Yeah, I didn't want to tell you, I didn't know how to tell you". Amelia glared at him "How long have you known?"
Xander didn't answer
"I SAID-", she rushed at him causing him to stumble backwards and fall onto a bench
"HOW LONG HAVE YOU KNOWN"
"Two weeks" he whispered. She gasped and sat down heavily next to him
"But...didn't you tell him it's important you stay here, didn't you ask him if you could move in with me or someone you know or something?" Xander suddenly reddened and looked guilty. The truth hit Amelia like a bus and she jumped up.
"You didn't even try did you?" "I'm sorry, I really am ames, I just, I want to go to America", it doesn't mean I don't want to be your best friend anymore though, you know I'll always be there for you"
Amelia stepped back
"You're a stupid ugly little boy, the only reason I was ever your friend was because my mum told me to be nice to you. I hate you, I hate you with all my heart. I wish you were DEAD Xander Field, do you know that. I HATE YOU!" Amelia shouted, injecting every bit of venom into her words.
It was all lies of course, she just wanted- no needed -to watch his face contort in pain, like he had been punched in the stomach a thousand times, she wanted to cause him as much pain as he had caused her when he had told her his 'news'. She turned on her heel and stalked off, not wanting him to see her cry, she knew then it would give away the fact that she didn't hate him, she loved him with all her heart.
Amelia sat on the swing, her shoulders heaving and the collar of her t-shirt saturated with tears. It had been two weeks since their fight and she had been in her room and her mum walked in
"Ame, this is ridiculous, you need to go and say good-bye to Xander!" Amelia's face clouded "But-"
"No buts Amelia, if you don't you'll never forgive yourself for leaving it hanging" Amelia sighed and nodded, she knew her mum was right. She slipped on her shoes and left the house, she walked to Xanders house, it was just 5 minutes away. She walked up his drive-way and knocked on his door, no one answered. She kept on knocking and shouting through the letter box. After 5 minutes she realized that they had already left, without telling her. He hadn't even tried to say good-bye. That was when she ran to the park across the street and sat on the swing, letting the tears take over her.
