Chapter 8 Part I
Ella's P.O.V.
I can't believe it...this can't be happening to me...ahhh ... this can't be happening..... I am so dead.... He'll defiantly know that something is wrong, when he comes here.... I can't let this happen. Think Ella! Think!..... AGGH .....
Ring.....Ring.... "Hello, this is Danvers' resident, how can I help you." Asked as familiar voice.........
"So I was thinking... um you know Kate's Birthday is coming up. So I wanted to make this birthday a special one for her." Daniel said, breaking the silent between them, as he looked up from his file to Ella, for some reason he wanted to see what her reaction would be, but what he saw he couldn't decide if he cared or not. Because her expression was still the same, and her eyes glued to her Laptop.
A week had passed since they went out for dinner together. They were sitting in the living room, as Ella was working on her Laptop while Daniel was looking over a file, but his mind was elsewhere the whole time they were in the room, even though they didn't talk much to each other, they felt comfortable with each other, as they were enjoying each other company.
Daniels' P.O.V.
Who's Aaron? Come to think of she mentioned Aaron before to when she was playing the piano. He didn't think much about it then but now he really wanted to know who Aaron was. He had asked Ella when she so eagerly went inside to answer the call but she was too distracted to answer him. All this past week he has been thinking about "Who the Hell was Aaron." Maybe it her boyfriend... no it can't be because she said she was in love with me and she doesn't seem the type either. He had known her before, when they were kids...come to think of it; he used to like her, when he was 7. Than as he got older he just completely forgot about it, but he would always watch her at parties, gathering events, and such. Now that he thinks about it, he had always watched her, how she laughed, talked, and how her eyes would become silver-gray when she was happy or pleased with something, or stormy gray when she was angry and how flirt with other guys especially this one guys in particular......"Ellloooo you there....Earth to Daniel." Ella's voice pulled him out of his thoughts. "Hey, where did you go off too?" Ella asked in a worried voice.
Which made him look around in confusion, but for some reason that made Ella laugh. "Why are you laughing." He asked smiling himself, as he watched her laugh, and loving every moment of it. "Nothing, Nothing at all." Ella said as a spark of laughter in her eyes grew, as their eyes meet and he felt himself falling deep within them. He reached out to.... "Ella there's a call for you." Said Mrs. Wesley, from the kitchen door, breaking the spell. "Did they tell their name?" Asked Ella without breaking their eyes contact. "Yes, He said it was Aaron." Answered Mrs. Wesley, that's all it took, was a name and Ella was gone. She hurried out the room to get the phone without looking back. And what the hell was he about to do anyway, if Mrs. Wesley hadn't interrupted. What was he getting angry about? He seriously had no idea. As he ran his hand through his hair. Just then Ella's head popped into the kitchen, "Hey Daniel could please turn the stove off. If I don't come back within five minutes, please. Thnxs." Said Ella, and didn't even let him say a word before she disappeared again. I have to find out who this Aaron is...
Ella's Side of the Story
"I can't believe this; you can't just leave everything and come back, like this. And how many times have I told you this I am perfectly fine you know." Said Ella, getting so frustrated by Aaron, sometimes he was just too much, like an extra over protective dad. She did know what to do, how to get him off her back...... "How come whenever you call me you always hound me hears about me but you never asked me anything at all about my marriage, how Daniels treating me or anything at all, Ron why is it?" Ella asked out of curiosity but mostly to change the subject. Ron on the other hand just went dead silent...
Both Daniel and Ella had gotten into a habit of spending their evening with each other, weather in the study room, or living room, they would always find a time to spend their evening together. Especial Daniel, he enjoyed her company.
Daniel's P.O.V.
"When is Kate's birthday?" asked Ella without looking up from her laptop screen. Form the last two weeks that have past he had learned to read and understand her quite well. She would always look else and not meet one's eyes she was up to something most probably scheming, hiding , or the unknown. This time he couldn't tell which it was. She hasn't touched that subject for the last two week since I told her. What is she up? Which made him frown. "Why are frown like that as though I have spoken a different language? So when is her birthday?" Ella asked a bit annoyed, distracting him from his thoughts. He watched her as he answered her question. "It's on the 13th, which is in two days." He watched her eyes, as the glowed hearing the answer as though satisfied with the answer she received. Now he definitely knew she was scheming something.
She looked up meeting his eyes as her expression became blank. For some reason her expression always turned blank as meet his eyes. And it irked the hell out of him, every time too. "So what are you planning for Kate." Asked Ella after a while, now she was watching him as though he did something bad and she was his nanny ready to punish him. " I...." he started to but realized he haven't thought about it at all. Now that he thought about it , he had forgotten about Kate's birthday till now. Which made him frown, he never forgotten her birthday before. Let alone he haven't even seen her or called her the last two weeks. Though there have been calls from Kate which he somehow always managed to find excuses not to answer them. Which made totally no sense to him now that he thought about it. "I haven't even thought about it, now that I think about." He finally said after a minute or two.
He thought about lying to her but lying to her didn't sit well him for some reason. He couldn't tell what she was thinking or thought about him. This silence from her side was really killing him. He didn't want her to think anything bad about him. He wasn't even sure of his feeling anymore. "I have favor to ask you....technology it not really a favor if you look at it. I can help you arrange a party for Kate but in return you have to do me a favor too." Ella said thoughtfully. There was something in her voice that didn't sit well with him at all. "I agree, but what is the favor you want from me." He asked realizing he really wanted to make Ella happy by fulfilling her wishes. He wanted to see her eyes spark and glow like they did when she was excited or happy. "I can't it now but soon, you'll know." Ella said her voice a bit unsure.
He wasn't so sure about his feeling anymore. He thought when he was alone, Ella had retired for the night and went to her bedroom. He wasn't sure about anything anymore, his feeling for Kate -Ella , he had treated her worse than anyone who could have. Kate who he loved .... Now that he thought about Kate he felt nothing no loving feeling at all. He was so confused. He didn't know anything now. He could even muster any jealousy feeling toward Kate begin with another man. Now that he thought about it he never been jealous when I saw Kate in arms of another man. Nothing at all. But when it came to Ella just mentioning the name Aaron so fondly he felt his stomach turn into knots, while he felt as though his heart was stabbed a thousand times. Why was that? As he thought about it....no.....it couldn't be .........
