Do you see me
hiding in the corner?
Do you hear
my cries of terror and pain?

Do you feel
my need to be loved?
Do you understand
why I cannot shed tears?

Of course you can’t.
You don’t care about me.
You ignore my signals
of distress.

Why don’t you stop
to take away the pain?
Why don’t you
just stay to comfort me?

I know why you don’t
give me a second look.
I know the bitterness
you try to hide.

But who am I to say
that you are selfish.
I am not the one
who will judge you in the End.
