Almighty's Remorse

On his bread slices was liberal spread of honey.
Coffers were filled with overflowing loads of money.
Aura around his opulence left an incurable sore in envying eyes.
Those uneasy optical pairs always looked for opportunities to tease.

The sweat and blood spent by him, none bothered.
His one-meal-a day for several years went unnoticed.
Innumerable falls from the progress’ ladder did hurt him.
His never-say-die attitude helped to protect his focus from getting dim!

Indeed, with luck too on his side, he didn’t look back.
With fortune and fame at his feet, one thing he did lack.
True well wishers and genuine friends, he didn’t have any.
All around him were out to fleece him to the last penny.

Misplaced trust and faith did the worst harm to him.
Having not a soul to call his own, he turned painfully grim.
Heartbroken and shattered he lay on his death bed with none at all.
Lonely and lost, he waited for his untimely end’s call.

Doers of wrong deeds in any form are sinners of society.
But then, why are the victims taken away by Almighty?
Is it that he felt this world was no longer fit for those ‘nobles’ to live in?
May be, he called them back being remorseful about his own creations, very mean!
