All Alone

Just a quick one I wrote while feeling a little lonely.
Alone.
I sit here in my self-imposed prison.
Alone.
I look out the window
And see that nice young couple
From down the street
Walking hand in hand.
Alone.
Smiling at each other
And laughing together.
Alone.
I’m told I need to get out
And find someone.
Alone.
How? When I’m too afraid
To leave this cell.
Alone.
