Alice Baney
06/25/09... About her. My grandma.
In one blink of an eye,
Every nerve bunched up.
As my lips pursed to the first sight of the caustic in front of me.
I didn't want to believe that reality makes sadness,
Natural beyond all causes, even if it does, even world out.
My head dropped down,
Every memory cried as it fell down my cheeks.
We bowed our heads for respect,
And prayed to God for her soul to be rested in peace.
Resting on my bed,
I stare at her picture from a far.
Over viewing her, passing didn't seem real but
I'd live as if yesterday she was still alive.
But it hadn't happened till summer,
Of two-thousand and nine, June 25th.
She left in the last stage of lung cancer,
At 2 pm that afternoon.
When admiring a view aside on shore,
You don't expect to be dragged in and drown so quickly so soon.
As there was no more life left inside her, she was gone.
I started thinking before I said.
There were moments when I asked, let's go, see grandma Baney.
But the response I got, responded silent and cold.
The glare in my grandpas eyes told it all,
He turned to me and said;
"She's not at home, baby girl she's gone".
His voice suddenly changed.
He looked down and walked away
We enclosed our hearts because
No one will ever take her place.
The memory of dear Alice Baney will never fade.
God making this beautiful creature,
Then taking it away.
The people will never know how much she had to offer to this world.
Every nerve bunched up.
