Algae in the Water Garden

When it comes to having a water garden, there are going to be many things that you値l have to consider. Algae, fish, and plant life are just a few. You値l need to consider that the water quality and clarity will affect the life of everything in your garden. You値l need to consider that the algae in your water garden will not only hurt the fish and the plants, but it will also hold the garden back from growing into a beautiful pond.

You値l want to consider that there are a lot of things that you can do to control the algae and the condition of the garden. You値l need to make sure that you consider your plant life. Believe it or not, you値l find that your garden life will help you to find protection against algae. For those who think that they can start a water pond without plant live is crazy, because just in a day or two you値l have tons of dark green algae growing.

For those who really don稚 know what algae are, you値l see that it is built up of salt and nitrates. You値l notice that it may take a week or two for some to grow, but it could take just a few hours. It all depends on the water and the sunlight. You値l want to consider plants that are submerged or plants that are just partially submerged to help you keep the water clean and free of algae.

For those who have plants in their water garden, you will still end up having some algae because you have too many fish. You need to have a balance between plant live, aquarium life, and water.

If the water gets too polluted with the waste from the fish, then you値l quickly find that the fish will overload the water and algae will grow quickly. Also, you値l want to make sure that you don稚 over feed your fish either. You don稚 want to have the fish polluting the water too much, because the plants will not be able to clean the water fast enough.

You may also have a lot of things at the bottom of your garden too. You don稚 want to allow leaves to pile up in the water. Something else you may have to deal with is animals. Animals may fall into the pond and start decaying. The debris will cause the algae to grow and it will also affect the aqua life and even the plant life in the pond.

Make sure that you do everything you can to keep your pond clean and free from algae causing agents.
