Alex Rodriguez, Wife Settle Divorce
Yankees star Alex Rodriguez and his wife Cynthia has reportedly settled their divorce after private negotiations.

Lawyers for Rodriguez and Cynthia released a statement Friday that read, "Cynthia and Alex Rodriguez have amicably resolved their dissolution of marriage proceedings. They deliberately engaged in a private negotiation. During the negotiations and resolution all decisions were made with the best interests of their children as the paramount concern." No terms of the divorce have been released, and Rodriguez’s lawyer said, "This was and remains a private matter."
Cynthia filed for divorce in July after more than four years of marriage. She alleged that he had had "emotionally abandoned" her and their children, had numerous affairs during their marriage and that he had an "affair of the heart" with Madonna. There were rumors that A-Rod had been spending late nights with the singer. Madonna fired back that they were just friends and there was nothing inappropriate going on between them. Cynthia, 35, sought custody of their daughters, three-year old Natasha and three-month old Ella, as well as alimony and child support. She asked to keep their $12 million mansion in Coral Gables, and a cut of his earnings during their marriage.
Rodriguez, 32, agreed that the marriage was "irretrievably broken," but he requested that the pre-nup that Cynthia signed before their 2002 wedding be upheld. Florida is a "no fault" state and Rodriguez reportedly "chastised" his estranged wife for bringing up his alleged affairs and "other marital conduct" calling the issues "immaterial and impertinent." He also reportedly said that he was only willing to give her what was outlined in their pre-nup.
