Alex - Chapter 11

If you thought the story was over, you were wrong.
Three Years Later:

I was dizzy beyond compare and my stomach was all over the place. I knew the signs. Waiting those three minutes and be the most nerve-racking thing that can cut deep.
Times up.

Looking down at that pink plus sign was easier than I thought. I smiled and tears ran down my eyes to my cheek. Elijah wanted another baby so bad and we did it. I could already see the look on his face when I tell him that we were going to have a baby. And Elliot’s face will be so filled with joy.

The hours went by so fast that I barely noticed. I was on my laptop finishing up the report when Elijah came home.
"Hey, babe. How was your day?" He asked. He leaned down and kissed me on the lips.
"Hey, it was good." I said. I got up, checked the lasagna I put in the oven and made the salad. I made his favorite dish. He came to the kitchen and hugged me from behind.

"So, what do you want to tell me?" He asked.
"Why do you assume I have something to tell you?" I asked.
"Honey, every time you have something to tell me, you make me lasagna and salad with garlic bread. Even before we got married... hell, even before we started dating," he said.
"Well, you can wait to after we eat. Ok?" I said.
"Fine, but you owe me." He said. I turned around in his embrace and kissed him softly.
"You keep doing that and I might just forgive you." He said.
I laughed. "For what?"
"For making me wait. It seems like its good news and I really need good news."

He did as promise and ate. He sat at the table with a suspicious look on his face. He kept staring at me. I stared back and gave him a smile. He smiled back.

Cliffhanger!
