Alec Baldwin’s Nasty Message

In what seems like an endless custody battle between Baldwin and his ex-wife, Kim Basinger, a threatening voicemail message is the last thing that could help his case. In the message, Baldwin reportedly refers to Ireland as a "rude, thoughtless little pig." The message appeared on TMZ.com even though the message was sealed in a court document. Baldwin went on a tirade because he called his daughter at the appointed time and she did not answer so he said he had made an "a**" of himself. Baldwin reportedly went on to say, "I’m tired of playing this game with you. I’m leaving this message with you to tell you that you have insulted me for the last time. You have insulted me."

The message also said, "You don’t have the brains or the decency as a human being. I don’t give a d*mn that your 12-years old or 11 years old or that you’re a child, or that your mother is a thoughtless pain in the a**." Baldwin’s visitation rights were temporarily suspended after Los Angeles County Superior Court Commissioner Maren Nelson heard the tape on Wednesday. It has been reported that a May 4 hearing will determine future custody rights.

Baldwin and Basinger were divorced in December 2001 after eight years of marriage and the couple was granted joint legal and physical custody of Ireland. A few years ago there was some drama surrounding the couple and the visitations got sticky. Baldwin reportedly accused Basinger of possessing a "pathological need" to turn their daughter against him and Basinger claims that Baldwin suffers from "severe emotional problems." A spokesperson for Baldwin released a statement after the tape fiasco that claimed Basinger leaked the tape to the press. His spokesperson also said, "Although Alec acknowledges that he should of used different language in parenting his child, everyone who knows him privately knows what he has been put through for the past six years." As for Basinger, she said, "I think the voicemail speaks for itself."
