So you have that hangover now and a bad one at that. In the future you'll be careful, but for now what are you supposed to do? Just follow some of these best hangover cures that work.
  • Sleep it off as much as you can. There's nothing better than sleeping and letting your body replenish what it has lost.
  • Water! Water is your best friend! Down as much water as you can. The alcohol has dehydrated you pretty bad, which is making all the other symptoms worse.
  • Drink water, drink juices as well. What's seen to work is tomato juice. Just squeeze some lemon juice into it and have it fresh.
  • Take vitamin C supplements or tablets. It reduces the alcohol content in the body.
  • Eat some almonds raw and whole.
  • Take a shower. First hot, then cold. It'll help to regulate body temperature and shock it into recovery.
  • Exercise. Taking a brisk walk and sweating it out has been seen to take away the alcohol content from the body.
  • Eat foods that are rich in minerals - pickles and the like.
  • Eating a banana is seen to work for many.

You know what the hangover symptoms and remedies are, but you can prevent these from making a comeback the next time you are out and drinking. Here's how you go about it:
  • Always eat something before you drink. Never have alcoholic drinks on an empty stomach.
  • Nurse your drink and make sure that after every drink you have a glass of water to balance the effects out.
  • Work the alcohol out before taking up another drink. Best way to do this is dance or walk it out.
  • After an evening or night of drinking, have a lot of water before hitting the bed.
  • Make sure that you have food the minute you wake up. Do not allow the stomach to be empty and create a vacuum.
