Alarm Systems for Cars
A car is a very important investment in a person's life, and hence should be protected with the best car alarm system. Since it is valuable, and easy to resell, it is one of the prime targets for thieves. The article enlightens you about alarm systems for cars that will help protecting your car...
Todays modern cars are equipped with the best alarm system for cars that are more advanced and developed. They comprise of:
- A layout of sensors which include switches, pressure sensors, and motion detectors. Sensors are basically powder controlled devices that receive and respond to a stimulus.
- A siren to generate a variety of sounds so that you can choose a distinct sound for your car.
- A radio receiver that permits a wireless control from a key fob and keeps the owner informed.
- An auxiliary battery that can be used as a replacement if the original battery doesn't work or is not charged.
- A computer controlled system to monitor and control all these operations of the system.
Door alarms are the most basic sensor in alarms for a car. It immediately responds when a thief tries to open the car door. The sensor is attached either to a siren or to the car's interior lights. Most of the car alarm systems employ the switching mechanism built within the car. As soon as the thief opens the door, the car door transfers the electricity to the interior lights and alarms the thief.
Car-Alarm Shock Sensors
Shock sensor is advanced alarm systems that helps in deterring thieves and vandals. It functions on a simple principle, in which when a thief hits or moves the car, the sensor sends a signal as per the intensity of car motion. So, if the car receives a shock and experiences an unidentified change in its velocity, a full scale warning alarm beeps. In some cases, the sensor is also connected to the fuel engine which stops supplying fuel, if a drastic change in the intensity of motion is detected.
Car-Alarm Window and Pressure Sensors
This sensor is very effective in detecting broken windows. It is connected to a microphone which is further attached to the computer controlled system. When the thief breaks the windows of a car, the sensor detects the sound and air pressure of the car. The microphone monitors the air pressure and air fluctuations, converts them into electric signals, and sends to the system. This way it triggers the siren and alarms the thief.
Car-Alarm Motion and Tilt Sensors
The sensor is extremely helpful when the thief tries to tow or drag the car to some other place. The sensor consists of perimeter scanners that tab any tilt, lifting and even slight movement of the car. Like this, one can easily monitor all the activities happening within a predetermined perimeter of the car park. Therefore, if any motion is scanned, the radio transmitter transmits signals which are reflected by the receiver monitors. Tilt sensor consists of series of mercury switches formed by two electrical wires and a ball of mercury. These switches generate electricity and in case of any car tilt or lifting, the electrical wires change the flow of circulation and alert the thief.
All these above alarm systems for cars are highly efficient in protecting cars from thieves, and will also help in maintaining car safety. While choosing alarms for cars, make sure they have a loud and effective siren or alarm, else they wont be able to deter thieves from stealing the car. In fact, nowadays many car security systems are there that play recorded messages when somebody steps too close to the car.
