Aladdin: Jafar is Avenged, Well Sort Of

Nine months after Jasmine told Aladdin about her pregnancy she gives birth to a baby girl. They call her Lilly.

Aladdin wonders over to Jasmine. "How are my two beautiful girls doing today?" Lilly giggles as he wiggles his finger in her face. "She’s definitely got your eyes."
"And your hair." She pulls him down onto the grass. "Al what if someone tries to kill us again?"
"What’s brought this on?"
"This, I found it in Lilly’s cradle when I got up." She hands him a note. "Jafar will be avenged! This your first and last born." Aladdin reads it out loud and Lilly starts to cry. Then they hear shouting outside in the market place. Aladdin stands up and runs over to the gates.

"Open the gates!" He squeezes through the gap to see an old man laid in the mud. He helps him to his feet. "Thank you kind man." The old man looks up at Aladdin. "Sire." He bows to Aladdin. "Tell me what happened."
"A man tried to climb the gates I pulled him down and he pushed me to the floor. He ran away shouting something."
"Which way did he go?"
"Towards the desert."
"Thank you." Aladdin starts to run after the man. He bumps into the guards. "Sorry!" The guard looks at him.
"You will always be a street rat!" He goes to grab Aladdin but he ducks. "Too slow my friend too slow."

After quite a lot of running he finds a man laid out on the floor. "Excuse me but have you seen a man running down here?"
"Aladdin!"
"Pardon?"
"Aladdin you will die." Aladdin picks the man up.
"Who will kill me?"
"I will avenge Jafar and you will perish!" The man kicks Aladdin and he lets him go. "I am sure you will try to fail as Jafar did."
"Just remember that when the sun sets in three days your time is up!"
"What is your name?!"
"Sahel and fear it!" He hits Aladdin and runs away. Aladdin tries to follow, but he collapses. Sahel laughs and shouts back. "Fear me Aladdin for I shall bring your death!"

Back at the palace Jasmine is getting worried. "Genie have you seen Al anywhere?"
"No sorry, why?"
"He ran out this morning and he hasn’t come back yet."
"I’ll go out and look for him don’t worry. I’ll find your dad." He ruffles Lilly’s hair and she holds his thumb. "Don’t worry Jasmine I’ll bring him home."
"Thanks Genie." The genie sets off in search of Aladdin.

He searches everywhere he goes out-of-town and spots Aladdin. The Genie flies over to him. Aladdin is unconscious on the sand. "Al?" Genie shakes him. "Al are you alright?" He picks Aladdin up and heads back to the palace. Half way there Aladdin comes round. "Genie?"
"Al, what happened and where have you been?"
"A man has threatened to kill me. We have to stop him for Lilly’s sake." He gasps. "Lilly!"
"Don’t worry Al she’s fine."
"Is Jasmine ok?"
"Yes Al don’t fret."
"Good."

When they get back Jasmine runs and throws her arms around Aladdin. She kisses him and then smiles. "Welcome home! Where have you been?"
"Oh nowhere really." He winks at Genie.
"Oh right." Jasmine laughs as they walk into the bedroom.

That night Jasmine wakes with a start. "Al!" She shakes him. "Aladdin get up!" She punches him.
"What?"
"Listen Lilly’s crying."
"Well go sort her out then."
"Alright I will."

"Good." Aladdin rolls over and Jasmine gets up. She walks into Lilly’s nursery. "Shhh, hush my little one." She walks up to the cradle and pulls the blanket down. Jasmine steps back at the sight of the empty cradle. "Aladdin!" She stares at the cradle. Then someone comes from behind a pillar holding Lilly. Jasmine gasps. "Put her down please don’t hurt her." The person laughs. "Where is your husband?" Sahel walks into the light. Aladdin runs into the room. "Jasmine what is it?"

"Ah, Aladdin nice of you to join us."
"Sahel!"
"Oh you remembered."
"Put my daughter down!"
"Alright." Sahel places Lilly in her crib and confronts Aladdin. "So Aladdin one of your family’s lives is about to end."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean that either your wife or your daughter is going to die when I click my fingers."
"Al!" Jasmine hugs him. "I can’t let him hurt Lilly." She steps up to Sahel. "Kill me leave my Lilly alone!"
"Jasmine you don’t have to do this you know that don’t you?"
"Yes I do Aladdin."
"Jasmine don’t we’ll find a way out of this."

"Sorry Al." She kisses his cheek and steps forward. Sahel clicks his fingers and Jasmine falls to the floor. Sahel disappears and Aladdin falls to his knees. Lilly starts to cry. Aladdin stands up and picks her up. "Hush Lilly it’s alright." He cradles her in his arms. He puts Lilly back in her cradle and carries Jasmine back to their bedroom.

Three and a half years pass and Jasmine is still in the bed. It is Lilly’s birthday and Aladdin is running around frantically trying to find her. "Genie have you seen Lilly?"
"No sorry."
"Can you help me find her?" Genie smiles.
"Well if you look behind you, you will see the little rascal." Aladdin turns round to see Lilly opening the door to Jasmine’s room. He runs up to her and picks her up. "What have I told you about going in there hey?"
"Daddy!" She tries to wriggle free. "Well young lady?"
"I’m not allowed. Dad I’m a big girl now. Why can’t I go in? Please."
"No!"
"Al!" Genie shouts. "It’s time she knew the truth."
"Do you really think so?"

"Yes." He puts hand on Aladdin’s shoulder. Aladdin puts Lilly down. "Ok." He opens the door and Lilly looks up at him. He walks into the room. "Come on." Lilly follows him into the room. He opens the curtains and the room is flooded with light. Lilly walks up to the bed. "Lilly this is your mother. She sacrificed herself to save you."

"Why?"
"Because she loved you."
"Oh." She climbs onto the bed next to Jasmine. "Mom?" She lies down and hugs Jasmine. "I love you mom." She kisses Jasmine and Jasmine’s eyes flicker. Aladdin walks up to them. "Lilly do that again."

"What daddy?"
"Kiss her again." Lilly kisses Jasmine’s cheek. Aladdin sits on the bed and holds Jasmine’s hand. "Jasmine?" Her eyes slowly open and she smiles at Aladdin. "Al?" She looks at Aladdin then at Lilly who is stood next to the bed. "Mommy?"
"Lilly, you’re alright!" She hugs her daughter. Then Aladdin looks at her. "Jasmine you do know that he will be back?"
"Who will?"
"Sahel!" He turns to Lilly. "Go and find Genie."
"Ok." Lilly runs out of the room.

"Al?" Jasmine sits up. "Is my father and Rajah Ok?"
"Not really." He helps her out of bed and onto the balcony. "See he hasn’t moved from under that tree for three years."
"And my father?"
"Jas he passed away last year. I’m sorry."
"Jasmine?" Genie comes into the room. She turns round.
"Genie it’s so good to see you!" She hugs him then tries to walk on her own. Aladdin runs up to her. "I’ll take you downstairs to Rajah."
"Thanks Al."

When they get out into the courtyard Jasmine runs up to Rajah. "Oh Rajah!" She hugs him, he nuzzles her neck with his nose and then starts to jump about. "Nice to see you too." She laughs as Rajah head butts the tree. A figure comes from behind the tree. "Hello Princess."

Jasmine gasps. "Sahel!"
He claps. "Well done."
"What do you want?"

"You!" He lunges at Jasmine but she backs away and Rajah growls at him. "Down boy!" He clicks his fingers and Rajah falls to the floor. "Rajah!" Jasmine stands up and Sahel clasps his hands around her throat. "You are pathetic!"
"I’m not the one trying to kill someone." He squeezes harder and Jasmine passes out. "Trap set." He lets go of her throat and goes back behind the tree.

Ten minutes pass and Aladdin goes outside. "Jasmine?" He runs up to her. "Jasmine!" He picks her up and starts to walk away. Sahel comes from behind the tree. "Aladdin long time no see!" He laughs. "Sahel!" He turns round and glares at him. He lays Jasmine on the grass and walks over to Sahel. "What did you do to her Sahel?"

"She’s still alive don’t worry."
"What do you want?"
"I want to avenge Jafar and I will succeed."
"I don’t think you will." He claps and Aladdin falls to his knees. "I can kill you right now."
"Well do it then."
"If you insist?"
"Oh I do." He clicks his fingers and Aladdin falls to the floor. "Goodbye." He kicks Aladdin and disappears.

Jasmine wakes up to the sound of Lilly shouting her. She sits up and sees Aladdin lying on the grass. She stands up and blocks Lilly’s path. "Come on let's go inside to find Abu."
"Ok mommy, where’s daddy?"
"He urm he went out."
"Oh." Lilly runs off.
"Well that was easy." Genie creeps up behind her.
"What was?"
"Whoa!" Jasmine jumps. "Genie can you keep Lilly entertained please I need to do something."

"Sure." He goes off in search of Lilly. Jasmine goes back outside and looks for Aladdin. She walks over to where he was and then she sees a piece of paper on the floor. Jasmine picks it up and reads it. "If you want to see Aladdin again meet me in the market place at the apple stand at noon." It is signed by Sahel. "Oh no Al!" She drops the letter and runs up to the gates.

The gates are opened for her and she makes her way to the apple cart. Jasmine stands there and waits. Then Sahel grabs her and covers her mouth. He takes her down an alleyway and throws her to the floor. "Sahel what have you done to Aladdin?"

"He will be fine if you do as I say."
"Alright."
"This way." He takes her into a building. "Now sit down." Jasmine sits on the floor and Sahel ties her up. "What’s the point in this?"
"I don’t want you to run away."
"Why would I do that?"
"Because you won’t like what you’re about to see."
"Why?" He smiles and walks into another room. Sahel comes back dragging Aladdin behind him. "Al!" Jasmine stares at Aladdin’s limp body on the floor. "I told you wouldn’t like it didn’t I?"

"Yes you did." Jasmine starts to cry.
"What’s the matter Jasmine?"
"Please don’t hurt him or my daughter please."
"It’s alright he’s dead anyway."
"What? No you’re lying!"
"I’m not but there is a way you can all live."
"What I’ll do anything?"
"Really?"
"Yes, what do you want?"
"I want to see your blood spilt."
"What?" Sahel walks up to her and stabs her in the side. Jasmine falls to the floor and a red pool forms near Aladdin. Sahel clicks his fingers and disappears.

Aladdin wakes up and sees Jasmine laid on the floor. "Jasmine, not again honey." He unties her. "Jasmine speak to me." Jasmine just lies there. "Come on Jasmine don’t leave me." He hugs her and kisses her forehead. "I’m sorry Jasmine, I’m so sorry." Jasmine’s eyes flicker and she whispers.
"Al?"
"Jasmine! Let’s go home." Jasmine tries to stand up but falls Aladdin catches her. "You’re ok now I’ll help you."
"Thanks Al but…" Her voice trails off and Aladdin looks at her face. "Jasmine, are you feeling alright?"
"Not really." She sways and passes out. Aladdin picks her up and starts to walk back to the palace.

Aladdin bursts into Jasmine's room. He puts her on the bed and shouts Genie. "Genie, Genie!" Genie rushes in.
"Yes Al?" He sees Jasmine. "Oh Al I’m sorry."
"No Genie you can help her can’t you?"
"I don’t know Al."
"Please you have to."

"I’ll try." He stands next to the bed. "I’m not promising anything." He waves his hand over Jasmine. "Sorry Al but…" He is interrupted by a deep breath. "Genie thank you!" Aladdin takes Jasmine’s hand in his. "Come on open your eyes Jasmine." Jasmine slowly blinks and smiles at Aladdin. Lilly runs in. "Daddy come and play with me."
"Alright." He stands up. "Try to get some rest."
"I will." He walks out of the room.
"Hurry up daddy."
"I’m coming." Aladdin runs after Lilly and leaves Jasmine on her own.

Jasmine falls asleep and Sahel creeps into the room dressed like a servant. "Princess wake up!" He whispers in her ear. Jasmine opens her eyes and gasps. "Sahel why are you here?"
"I’ve come to finish the job!" He shows her a knife. She sits up and he lunges but she dodges him. "Stop!" He grabs her arm and pulls her to the floor. "Let me go!" She kicks him and he slaps her across the face. Jasmine lies on the floor. Sahel stands up and laughs. "Do you know how pathetic you look?"
"No!" She stands up and Sahel runs out of the room. He comes back in with Lilly. "Lilly!"
"Mommy help me please."
"Sahel let her go!"
"No, not until you give yourself up!"

"I will never give myself up." He puts a knife to Lilly’s throat. "No, don’t hurt her!" Jasmine jumps and pushes Sahel. She hugs Lilly but Sahel pulls them apart. Lilly runs off to find Aladdin and Jasmine and Sahel struggle. He pushes Jasmine to the floor and stands on her chest pinning her to the floor. "You my dear have lived long enough." He wraps his hand around her throat and pulls her up. Jasmine backs away and falls over the balcony. Sahel laughs and grabs her arm. He holds her away from the edge and Aladdin runs in. "Sahel leave her alone!" Sahel turns his head. "One more step and I’ll drop her!"

"You wouldn’t dare!"
"Aladdin help me please!" Jasmine shouts.
"Let her go!"
"Ok!" Sahel let's go of Jasmine’s arm and she screams as she falls. Aladdin runs for the edge but Sahel blocks his path. "You stay here!"

As Jasmine is falling carpet catches her and lays her gently on the ground. Aladdin leans over the edge and smiles. Sahel drags him back and Aladdin struggles. "Let me go!" He lashes out at Sahel but Sahel strangles him and he passes out. Sahel drops him and goes into Lilly’s bedroom. He takes Lilly and disappears leaving a note for Aladdin and Jasmine.

Aladdin is woken up by Jasmine shaking him. "Al, Aladdin get up now!" He looks up at her, tears are running down her face. "Jasmine what’s the matter?"
"He’s taken her Al."
"What?"
"Lilly, Sahel took her!"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes!"

"Ok, alright I’ll go and try to find him." Aladdin starts to walk out of the room. Jasmine runs after him. "Al, this was on Lilly’s bed." She passes him a piece of paper. He reads it and his face washes with fear. "What Al?"
"This place I’ve been there it’s no place for a four-year old."
"When did you go there?" He looks at her then she remembers how they met. "Oh right."
"You stay here I’m going to get our daughter back." He kisses her and walks down the hall.

Jasmine watches Aladdin go then turns to Genie. "Go with him just in case."
"I was waiting for that." He flies off. She waves him off and then goes into Lilly’s room. She lies on Lilly’s bed and cries into the pillow. "I’m sorry Lilly this is my fault." She hears something in the corridor. "Abu?" Jasmine stands up and walks out on to the corridor. She looks down the corridor but no-one is there. Then Sahel grabs her and drags her backwards. She struggles and Sahel drops her. Jasmine smacks her head on the marble tiles and falls unconscious. Aladdin appears in the doorway. "Sahel leave them alone!"

"Aladdin?" He kicks Jasmine out-of-the-way and walks up to Aladdin. "Where is my daughter Sahel?"
"She’s out of harm’s way."
"Where is she!?"
"She’ll be safe."
"Where is Lilly?" He grabs Sahel.
"She’s in the palace somewhere." Aladdin lets him go and runs up to Jasmine. "Jasmine," He turns to Sahel. "What did you do to her?"
"Nothing she did it to herself."
"You make me sick."
"Really?" Aladdin runs off to try to find Lilly. Sahel looks at Jasmine's lifeless body and laughs. "Pathetic!"

Aladdin finds Lilly in a glass chamber in the tower. He runs up to her. "Lilly are you alright?"
"Daddy I’m scared."
"Cover yourself." Aladdin backs up and finds a club. He smashes the glass and Lilly hugs him. "Where’s Mommy?" Aladdin gasps, he tells Lilly to find a hiding place and stay there until he comes to get her. Then he runs out of the room and back to where he left Jasmine.

When he gets there he finds one of Jasmine’s shoes on the floor but Jasmine is not there. "Jasmine!" He runs into the bedroom. Jasmine is tied to the bed. "Jasmine?" He walks up to the bed not realizing that Sahel is behind him. She looks at him and gestures at the doorway behind Aladdin. He turns around and sees Sahel. "What are you still doing here?"

"I have come to finish the job I started."
"And what is that?"
"I am, I will kill one of you!" He grabs Aladdin and drags him out on to the balcony. "Al!" Jasmine shouts and tries to get off the bed. "Al! Sahel leave him alone!" Aladdin falls through the curtains. "Al!" Sahel comes after him.

"You are pathetic Aladdin!" Sahel throws him across the room. "Sahel stop, just leave him alone!" Jasmine lies helpless as Sahel walks up to her. "And what are you going to do about it?" He leans into her face. "You have no power over me."
"Jasmine don’t do it!" Aladdin stands up.
"Sorry Al but I just have to."
"Well Aladdin how do you want her to die?" Sahel laughs.
"You’ll die before she does!"

"That’s what you think." Sahel places his hand over Jasmine’s chest. Jasmine’s breathing gets slower and slower. Aladdin stands there watching him. Then he sees a knife by his feet. Aladdin picks the knife up and throws it at Sahel. The knife flies through the air and hits Sahel in the heart. He falls to the floor and Aladdin runs up to the bed. "Jas?" He hugs her and unties her hands. "No jasmine! I’m sorry." He puts his ear to her chest and hears her heart beating. "Thank Allah." He smiles and leaves the room.

When Aladdin reaches the room where he left Lilly he finds her in a box playing with Abu. "Come on then."
"Lilly looks up. "Dad I love you so much."

"I know you do." He picks her up and Abu climbs onto his shoulder. They go back to Jasmine’s room. Aladdin peers round the door frame. Lilly runs in. "Lilly wait!" Aladdin shouts her. She looks up and sees Jasmine on the bed. "Mom?" Lilly sits on the floor and starts to cry. Aladdin walks up to the bed. "Come on Lil." She climbs up and sits next to Jasmine. Lilly plays with Jasmine’s hair. Aladdin smiles at her. Then Jasmine lifts her hand and places it on Lilly’s. "Mom?"

"Jasmine?"
"Oh my silly Lilly." She hugs Lilly. Aladdin stands next to them and smiles. "I promise no one will hurt either of you ever again." Aladdin hugs them.
"That’s a very hard promise to keep isn’t it?"
"I know, but I mean it. Whilst I’m still here no-one will hurt you." He kisses Jasmine and Lilly.
"Al?"
"Yeah?"
"Thanks."
