Affiliate Marketing - The 3 Deadly Affiliate Marketing Mistakes!
A great article that explains the 3 most common and deadly affiliate marketing mistakes
Hundreds of people start affiliate marketing every month, yet most of them can barely make enough money to quit their day job after one year or two. There is no secret. Obviously, they are doing something wrong.
Mistake #1: Having No Clue About Marketing
They fail to learn marketing. They think that Affiliate marketing is a get rich quick scheme, and that all that you need to do is to pick up an ebook on clickbank, and then, promote it via Google Adwords or Search Engine Optimization.
They never ask themselves:
1. What is Marketing
2. How do I develop a plan to start a business?
3. What is my marketing message
Mistake #2: Doing it all themselves
Many of them think that they don't need a coach to succeed, and that they will make it alone. Heck, I am a martial artist, and NEVER... I've see such a nonsense! Sorry to be rude, but that's the truth. Do you think that you don't need a coach? A Mentor to show you the way? I learn several discipline, and in Japanese, we say: Onegay Shimas (that means: show me the way). You ask to you teacher to show you the way. Can you succeed without a coach? Yes, but it will take time, money, and in most of the case, people fail and quit... Even if they are doing right. So don't make this mistake, and get a marketing coach.
Mistake #3 – Over-complicating The Marketing Process
Affiliate marketing is not complicated. In a nutshell, here is what you need to do to succeed:
1. Research a profitable market
2. Find what they want to buy (or what they buy now)
3. Communicate (connect) with them (via website, ads...)
4. Promote a good (not crappy) product
Note: I prefer promoting membership sites (recurring income) or high priced products. I make sure that the product is what my client (prospect, but I prefer to call it my client) need.
5. Taking it all to the bank
That's it. Avoid these three three deadly mistakes, and you will do well. It's a business, some of you will achieve success fast, while others are slow... But in general, if you follow my advices, you win.
It's important to understand the marketing process. Plus if you want to sell, I think you are wrong.
You need to serve your market. Help them solving their problem, and they will love you for that. And when they love you, they'll buy whatever you recommend.
