Add Some Flair to Your Baby Shower

Use a wide arrangement of baby shower candy throughout your next shower to mix it up.
Your best friend, Susan is pregnant. She has just passed her first trimester and the excitement is really beginning to build up. Her cheeks are definitely glowing and all she can talk about is her baby. She can't wait for the next month or so when she will begin to feel those butterfly flickers that are the beginnings of her baby movements.

As her closest friend, and maid of honor at her wedding five years ago, you have decided to have a surprise baby shower for her. The 'surprise' is going to be big - and so you've got to fit your planning between your job schedule and the trips you and Susan take about town. You've also got to get it done fast, as you sense she is beginning to wonder why you have not yet started talking about her baby shower!

Big organizer that you are, you've gotten together with another friend who has done these things before and the planning has started, with the lists of invitees and snacks already made. You are trying to decide on the theme that will be reflected in the invitations, the favors and the décor - you're pulling out all the stops! According to the Chinese calendar, Susan is expected to have a baby girl (Susan absolutely refuses to find out about the sex of her baby - she's big on surprises!) and so the color scheme is going to be shades of pink.

After going online, you find out that there are a variety of fun candies in different colors and flavors, which you could use as favors:

1. Almond Sweets - There are delightful sweets that are associated with babies and children. They are also available in smaller sizes (though without the almond centers)
2. Baby Feet Lollipops - The ideal candy for the occasion
3. Candy Climbers - You may want to have just a few of these in a basket to add to the looks.
4. Candy Bouquets - When it comes to candies, the range is endless. You will impress your guests with miniature candy bouquets that are made from mints, chocolate or strawberries.
5. Bubblegum Babies - ooh, so cute!
6. Jelly Beans - are delightfully chewy
7. Pillow Mints - Cute little mints are the ideal size to pop into your mouth after a meal.
8. Candy Filled Baby Bottles - These are always great for some laughs and make nice gifts or prizes.
9. Candy Cigars - How about surprising your guests with a fascinating range of candy cigars? You can find a myriad of candy cigars packed in cute boxes that resemble cigar boxes. Use your creativity to think of different ways of packing your candy cigars.

The hard part is over now that the candy has been selected. All that is left is to purchase some attractive bags to wrap up and display the candies in and hand them out to your guests. Make sure to get plenty of extras because the attractive displays of a tasty treat will convince guests to take an extra for someone special at home.
