Nausea can be very irritating and can really disturb your state of well-being, though in most cases it is harmless and will take care of itself. However, if you are looking for nausea relief and are looking for a natural remedy, then stimulating the acupressure points is the best remedy. Acupressure is an ancient Chinese remedy which uses the same points used in acupuncture, but instead of the needles pressure is applied on these points with fingers, elbows and massage devices.

This treatment procedure uses simple massage techniques to stimulate the body's natural ability to heal. In traditional Chinese medicine acupressure played a big role in treating several illnesses and to promote well-being. Practitioners of martial arts also used this healing technique to balance the flow of energy and to rejuvenate themselves.

Pressure Points for Nausea

If you check the acupressure points chart you will realize that the stimulation point is usually much farther away than the target area. The massage techniques are also quite simple. Most of the time, you have to use circular movements and pressure needs to be applied on the points. One of the best things about acupressure is that you can easily learn it and use the technique for self-healing. Here are some of the acupressure points which can relieve nausea.

K6
If you are looking for nausea relief, one of the acupressure points that you can massage is the K6. This point is located on the inside of the ankle about one thumb width below the protruding ankle bone. Use the left thumb to massage the K6 point in a circular movement for about a minute on the right leg and repeat the movement on the other leg with the right thumb.

PC6
The PC6 point is located below the inside of the wrist right in between the two noticeable tendons. Join 2-3 fingers close together and place them on the wrist beginning from the top crease of the inside wrist. Now feel the center of the two tendons with the finger of your hand which is farthest away from the wrist. Stimulate this point with your fingertips and repeat the movement on the each hand.

ST36
If you are looking for nausea relief then you will benefit by massaging the ST36 point with your fingernail. This point is situated one hand width under the kneecap and is comparatively difficult to find than the other nausea points, but is as effective. Once you locate the point just apply pressure on it with your fingernail for about 30-40 seconds, apply pressure on both the legs, one leg at a time.

K27
This is one of the best acupressure points in pregnancy, if you so wish you can stimulate this point with elbows or fingers. The K27 is located in the depression below the collarbone and about two thumbs width from the center of the sternum. Use circular massage motions to stimulate this pressure point, do the massage for 1-2 minutes.

There are other pressure points for nausea relief, one of them is situated on the elbow joint inside of the bicep tendon. Another point you can massage is located between the breast bone and the belly button. Massage these acupressure points, with your fingertips or elbows, for a minute or two while applying pressure.
