Actor Jesse Metcalf Enters Rehab

The news comes on the heals of reports that Metcalf, 28, enjoyed a weekend-long binge at the Mondrian Hotel in Los Angeles last week. It has been rumored that the Desperate Housewives actor has been blacklisted from the hotel for his behavior. His rep announced his decision to enter rehab on Monday, a day before the binge story hit. Susan Patricola released statement that read, "On Monday, March 19, Jesse Metcalf entered a rehab facility to deal with alcohol issues. He realized he had a problem and was anxious to deal with it immediately. The actor, best known as the hunky gardener on the ABC show ‘Desperate Housewives’ and the star of the film ‘John Tucker Must Die,’ hopes that the media will allow him the privacy to deal properly with his treatment."

Sources say that Metcalf overstayed his welcome at the Mondrian and was really mean to the staff after "partying four days straight last week." Last Friday Metcalf reportedly "blew up at the doorman at Skybar because they wouldn’t let him in." It was also reported that his behavior caused him not to be able to get a guestroom on Saturday. The Mondrian has denied that the actor is "blacklisted" from the hotel and Metcalf’s rep has not commented on the incident.

So either Metcalf really does have a drinking problem or he is just trying to be chic…rehab it’s the new thing. Britney did it. So did Lindsay. What happened to this guy’s career? He was Mr. Hot Stuff when he was on Desperate Housewives but now what is he doing? Maybe he will get the help he needs in rehab as well as a little media exposure…
