Acne Treatment Systems
What types of acne treatment systems are there, and what do they do to help you treat your acne? Learn about how acne systems work.
There are many acne treatment systems dominating the acne market, and the majority of these are 3-step acne treatments. The general role of these 3-step systems are to cleanse, exfoliate, and exterminate. The face wash serves to remove excessive dirt and dead skin cell build up on the skin. This reduces the likelihood that you will get acne. The next step is the exfoliate, which removes dead skin cells. This is a very important procedure, because if you don't remove dead skin cells, they will clog your pores. The last step is the cream, which oxygenates the pores and kills bacteria. How effective is this acne treatment system anyway?
Most acne treatment systems we've found work really well against mild acne, however the bulk of the acne products we've found use a low concentration of ingredients, specifically salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. If you want faster and better results, you may need to raise the concentrations of the main ingredients in these acne products. But, increasing the concentration often increases the risk of skin damage, which also increases the probability of acne breakouts. So, it really depends on you. If your skin recovers quickly, then go for it. Otherwise, stick with lower concentrations.
The three step acne treatments are good, but the four step acne products are even more effective. The fourth step is the internal acne treatment, which helps battle acne from the inside out. For some people this step is very effective, and for others not so much. It really depends on why you have acne. Trial and error is by far the best way to see what works for you.
