Acne Treatment During Pregnancy
Acne treatment during pregnancy is different from normal times, since many drugs can hinder the growth and development of fetus. However, there are several natural acne treatments that you can try at the comfort of your home.
Home Acne Treatments During Pregnancy
- Ripe Tomato: Take out the pulp of ripe tomato and apply it on your face. Keep it on for about 20 minutes, and then wash your face with cold water. You can do it once in three days.
- Lemon Juice and Cinnamon: Take one tablespoon of lemon juice and a half teaspoon of cinnamon powder. Mix them well and apply it on the acne affected skin. Let it stay there for about 10 minutes, and then wash it away with water. Do it once in two days.
- Sandalwood Powder and Rose Water: Mix one teaspoon of sandalwood powder with 2-3 drops of rose water to make a paste. Spread it on the affected skin. Allow it to dry for about 10 minutes. Wash the skin with cold water. Rose water is a natural toner. It will also bring glow to your skin.
- Toothpaste: Apply toothpaste on the acne before going to bed, keep it overnight, and wash it off next morning. This is one of the best acne treatments during pregnancy that you can do comfortably.
- Potato: Grate a small potato and squeeze it to get juice. Spread this potato juice on the acne affected region. Leave it on for a half hour. Do it daily and get an acne free skin during pregnancy.
- Aloe Vera: Apply aloe vera juice on the affected area. Aloe vera due to its anti-bacterial property is highly effective in both the acne prevention and acne treatment during pregnancy.
- Fenugreek: Apply a paste of fresh fenugreek on the acne for a half hour everyday. This is again a very effective treatment for acne during pregnancy.
- Strawberry Leaves: Keep strawberry leaves on the acne daily to reduce acne problems.
- Mint and Turmeric: Grind mint leaves to make a paste. Add a pinch of turmeric to it. Mix them well and apply it on the affected area.
- Ice: Rubbing the affected skin gently and softly with an ice cube is also a good remedy.
- Rosewater: Dab 2-3 drops of rose water every day before sleep. This is the best acne control meant for all times.
- Fruits and Vegetables: Fruits and green leafy vegetables are rich in vitamins and minerals. Increase your daily intake of fruits and vegetables to get a healthy and acne free skin.
- Lemonade: Drink warm lemonade. Lemon juice has vitamin C. Vitamin C not only strengthens your immunity, but also brings shine to your skin.
- Cucumber: You can apply either cucumber paste or juice on the skin affected with acne. Apply it daily before sleep for 10 minutes and get faster results.
