If one needs a blemish-free skin after being infected with acne; two primary things need to be treated. One is acne and the other is scars. The reason being, scars are formed after the acne is actually healed. Before starting the treatment for scar removal, one has to ensure that the acne itself is completely healed. People are always looking for ways to remove scars, but it's always advisable to consult a doctor before doing anything. Below are some tips that would help you get rid of acne scars and clear your skin completely.

Laser Treatments: This treatment is the latest technology and is widely preferred all over the world. Although it's an expensive method, it is the most effective and quickest one that can be used. In this method, the laser burns and removes the layer of dead skin, so that new skin can come onto the surface. The doctor may need to inject anesthesia on the infected area that needs to be treated upon.

Augmentation: This method is preferred for deep scars and includes filling them with certain substances like cosmoderm, restylane and cymetra, that can substitute the skin. In some treatments, the patient's own fat is also used. Filling is done in such a way that the skin gets leveled. These results are not permanent as third-party elements are used to substitute the skin.

Chemical Peel: In this method, a special type of chemical or acid is applied to the skin that removes the dead cells or skin and allows new skin to grow thereafter. There can also be some side effects in this treatment, as the chemical that is used may be allergic to the some patients.

Dermabrasion: This method is also used for removing wrinkles or any other types of scars. Under this treatment, a special rotating tool is used to remove the dead surface on the skin. The skin needs to be anesthetized for this process as the operation can be very painful.

Injections: There are some injections that are used for scar removal, such as those that include steroid and collagen. If needed, these injections can be a part of the treatment and may follow other scar removal treatments. One needs to ensure that these injections are not allergic to the skin.

Punch Excision: This technique is used for deep scars. A scar removal medical tool is used to remove the dead skin. The equipment pointer is matched with the area of the scar that needs to be removed, and then excised. Anesthesia is given to the patient before this kind of treatment.

Punch Replacement and Skin Grafting: If the scarred region on the skin is large, the damaged skin is first treated by the punch tool and then by replacing the skin with new skin that can match the damaged skin. In many cases the skin behind the ear is used for skin grafting.

Scar Removal Creams: There are many scar removal creams that are available in the market today. But you need to consult a doctor before applying any type of scar removal cream, as you may be allergic to any of them.

As you've seen, there are many methods that can be adopted to remove scars. Choosing a scar removal technique depends upon the type and severity of the scars, and also needs to be discussed with a doctor initially. But if treated in the correct manner, it's sure that all acne scars can be healed and removed.
