In some cases, it can be quite unsightly too. There are various acne skin care products, including medicated ones, which are specially made for treating acne. - Honey is another herbal remedy for acne. You can either mix it with grated apple or cinnamon powder. Leave it to dry and rinse off with lukewarm water after thirty minutes.
- Turmeric is another herbal cure for acne and is found to be effective in controlling this condition and preventing infection of the pimples. It can also heal the scars formed by pimples. You can either mix it with honey and sandal wood powder or mint juice and apply it over the face. Rinse off after twenty to thirty minutes.
- Lemon juice is also used as an acne herbal cure. Mix it with equal amounts of rose water or milk and apply. Use lukewarm water to rinse it off after thirty minutes. You can also apply tomato juice/cucumber juice to get rid of acne.
- A paste made of sandal wood powder for face and rose water can be very effective to reduce swelling of pimples. You may either wash it off after half and hour or keep it overnight.

- You can make a paste of gram flour and milk for washing the skin affected by acne. It can also be used as a face mask, after adding a pinch of turmeric.
While the above acne herbal cures can help you get rid of this skin condition, you must also take some preventive measures. Never squeeze, scratch or pick at pimples. Remove excess oil from the skin by washing with a mild soap, twice a day. Protect your scalp from dandruff and keep the hair off from the face. Avoid fatty and spicy food and drink lots of water. Adopt a good exercise program and get adequate sleep. If you are not finding any relief even after adopting these measures, consult a dermatologist to help you with acne cures.
