Acai Berry in an Energy Drink
Our lives are very fast paced these days and being on the go is second nature. Our food and energy consumption is the same that is why energy drinks are so popular...
The acai fruit is small, back and purple in color. Grown on the Acai Palm, it grows tall, approximately 45-60 feet, with leaves almost 10 feet in length. The amount of fruit produced by each branch is about 700 to 900. People are using the acai berry for everything from food dishes, to pills, to energy drinks and more. There are also many claims as it:
•Prolongs Your Life
•Increases Your Energy
•Reduces the Toxic Effects of Chemotherapy and Radiation
•Helps to Build Strong Blood
•Helps with Chronic Dry Cough
•Fights Inflammation and Arthritis
Health benefits also gained by South America’s Acai Berry:
• Cardiovascular
• Digestive health
• Cell regeneration
• Increased Antioxidant in blood
Studies of the acai berry show high concentration levels of antioxidants that are 10 times more than that found in red grapes and 10 to 30 times the amount of anthocyanins in red wine.
I mentioned energy drinks right. I have tried a few in my day and regularly drink a high potein drink at the gym at least 4 times a week. I never was into the popular high energy drinks due to what I saw and what was in them, like all the caffeine.
Caffeine Content of Popular Beverages
Amp - 75 mg per 8.4 ounces (8.9 mg/oz)
Brewed coffee (average) – 77 mg per 6 ounce cup (12.8 mg/oz)
Coca-Cola Classic – 34.5 mg per 12 ounce can (2.9 mg/oz)
Cocaine Energy Drink – 280 mg per 8.4 ounces (33.3 mg/oz)
Fixx – 500 mg per 20 ounces (25 mg/oz)
Jolt Cola – 280 mg per 23.5 ounce can (11.9 mg/oz)
Monster and Rockstar – 160 mg per 16 ounce can (10 mg/oz)
My friend recently had me try an acai berry energy drink a couple of days ago, called Efusjon Raw.....my review as follows.
• Impressive looking can, yet small, 8.4 fl oz.
• Contained 250% of Vitamin C and 250% Ascorbic acid, 100% Vitamin E, along with 125% Vitamin B6 and B12 and others, all in a little can, o.k.?
• No caffeine, for me a plus, although there is a 60 mg caffeine version.
• All natural ingredients with the acai berry at the center, again a plus
• Great tasting, and only slightly carbonated. I was concerned about the carbonation because I had not had any carbonated drinks since 2001, because of my stomach - too much soda in my lifetime wore me out. But, to my surprise I was ok with it carbonation and all.
I did not turn sweaty red and almost have a hard attach because of some huge rush. I felt a consistent, constant steady energy boost that lasted well into the evening. I am usually wiped out during the evening, but I was still going strong at 9pm. I am not huge on drinking fruity things either but this has me going back for seconds... A must try if you are conscious about your health and like this sort of thing.
