Abuse is Never Right

I wrote this poem for class, for a contest about abuse month. I put a lot of thought into it and I hope people like it.
Beneath her clothes,
Are hidden scars.
And in her chest is a broken heart.

She feels his anger,
With every beat.
She always thinks
"Will ends ever meet?"

His big bold fist,
And angry eyes.
There's more pain every night,
When he'll stop is always a surprise.

Every hit of his hand,
Leaves a mark on her skin.
She tries to fight,
But it never lasts.

She wanders what will happen next,
And why she must get treated like this.
She tries to hide,
But always end up found.

He's always mean,
Sometimes he can be nice.
But that's only when he buys fancy things,
Hoping it takes the pain away.

They emptiness still remains,
The hurt and pain just doesn't go away.
She feels alone,
Like she has no one else,
She doesn't know what to do next.

She just wants to get away,
To live her life,
But the memories will still remain.

All it took to end her life,
Was a drunken man out of his mind,
And now she's gone by the age of nine.

Things like this happen every day,
Abuse is never right,
Everyone deserves a chance to live their life.
