Absolution

We'll miss you
You touch the colors

Of the threads of life

You forget the pain

The anger, the strife.

The past comes alive

In the moment of truth

Away falls the old age

In its place lies everlasting youth.

This isn’t a dream

And it’s not an untouchable place

As you reach out to the light

A smile forms on your face.

You let out a sigh

It’s almost over at last

There’s only one thing left to do...

Sift through the past.

Memories that are good

Memories to make you cry

Peace is absolution

And now you know why.

The pain fades away

The agony only lasts a while

Then we start to remember

We'll remember you...and we'll smile.
