About Us

The end of the line.
If you find me far away in a dream
Then please don't interrupt,
Leave me standing in the cool morning breeze,
Watching the sun come up,
As the moon and stars fade away with the dawn,
And the songbirds begin to sing,
Just leave me standing there on my own
And give me the space to think,

In the morning when the sun's in the sky,
You're an angel with golden wings,
But in the neon light when the moon's riding high,
You're a demon on the prowl again,
You pick up the trail of another lost soul,
And you ply your trade for trouble,
You leave your morals behind on a barroom stool
While your soul dances with the Devil,

I turn round to face you in silence
With the sun burning on my back,
And I could ask you a million questions
But I don't think there's one you'd like,
And your eyes try to hold your smile in place,
But the tears give it all away,
And I can tell by the lies that line your face
That the truth's better left unsaid,

I've read all the entries in your diary,
Excuse me, but I had to intrude,
Now my tears stain the pages of your apathy,
It seems I never appealed to you,
I'm a shoulder to cry on when your darkest emotions
Impale themselves in your heart,
I am merely an amulet, a good luck token,
To be taken with a pinch of salt,

Let me ponder where we go from here,
And I shall wonder if you ever gave a damn,
I don't think you ever really cared,
It seems I was just another drunken romance,
I was enchanted while you were curious,
And I pledged my heart to you like a song,
But alas, you never took me serious,
And I know now that I got it wrong....
