About Escentric Molecules

Escentric Molecules is an exciting new fragrance brand from German perfumer Geza Schoen and two UK companies. Escentric Molecule is unique in that it bases its fragrances around a single ingredient or aroma chemical. They launched two different fragrances at the same time, both containing the single chemical. They currently have four different perfumes on the market: Escentric 01 and Escentric 02, and Molecule 01 and Molecule 02.

Escentric 01 is based around a highly concentrated scent chemical Iso E Super. This is combined with other scents of line, pepper and incense. Unlike other traditional perfumes which are equally balanced through the top, middle and base scents, this Escentric Molecules formula quickly evaporates the top note scent and lasts for hours on the sensuous base notes, leaving comforting woody and musky fragrances.

Escentric 02 is different in that it uses the aroma chemical ambroxan combined with natural scents including musk. The disappearing top notes have splashes of elderflower and orris giving it a crisp and clean burst. The lasting bottom notes are again warm and cosy ñ almost haunting. It is a great fragrance for every day, but it never gets boring.

Molecule 01 is similar to its sister fragrance, Escentric 01, in that they share the same scent ingredient ñ Iso E Super, yet this aroma is decidedly different. Because this is a very complex ingredient, it takes a long time for ones body to absorb it. This gives it an effect of certain fragrance layers disappearing, then coming to life again later. It is a perfect day-long fragrance.

Molecule 02 like Escentric 02 is based on scent molecule ambroxan a scent similar to the expensive ambergis which is a scent excreted by sperm whales. Ambroxan has a nutty fragrance that lingers with freshness.
