Ablaze in Passion 5

Bianca tries her best to steer clear. But will the fates let her?
"How dare you," came the familiar voice of Georgia,
Bianca spun around hastily to face her, the sheer anger evident in Georgia’s eyes, Bianca didn’t say anything, she was still getting over the shock of her sudden appearance.
"You are a mere slave Bianca, a servant girl. You wash MY clothes. You scrub MY floors. YOU bow down to ME," she walked closer to Bianca and roughly stabbed her finger at her and then back at herself, "What would a wealthy, titled man want with a servant girl? It’s obvious isn’t it? You look pretty but that’s it! You have nothing else. You are just a bit of fun before he throws you away,"
Georgia was spitting fire, and Bianca was afraid that at any moment she was going to pounce,

"If I see you throwing yourself at him again or anyone else for that matter you’ll be punished severely," She then grabbed the jug from which Bianca had poured herself some water and doused her with it; before leaving the room as quickly as she had come.
Bianca didn’t move from where she stood. She shivered slightly from the water seeping through all her clothes and finally reaching her skin. Her hair was now a sodden mess, as though, she had just been walking in the rain. The door flew open again and Bianca snapped to attention, afraid Georgia had returned to yell some more. But she let out a sigh of relief when Lucy stepped into the kitchen.
"Wow those men out there are star – Bianca what happened?!" Lucy suddenly exclaimed as she took in Bianca’s appearance,

"Georgia," was all she had to say to explain everything,
Lucy was horrified, she ran to the cupboards and pulled out some towels before racing over to Bianca and wrapping her up,
"But why? What did she hope to gain?"
"Apparently I’m to remember I’m just a servant girl,"
Lucy frowned at her answer and then realization formed,
"Lord Cassidy? She’s jealous!" she declared,
Bianca looked towards Lucy and then towards the door that led to the Festivities,
"Lucy, I’m going to go change and then turn in. I don’t think Georgia wants to see my face again for the rest of the evening,"
Lucy nodded and waited until Bianca was gone before cleaning up the puddle of water she had left behind.

Bianca was successful in steering clear of Lord Cassidy for the first few days of his stay; she had her morning duties to carry out each morning which kept her away from the Manor; and then she found herself opting to do things that kept her busy away from the main areas of the house that Chase would most definitely be residing in. Unfortunately her luck ran out on the fourth day of his stay when she was given the task of serving the evening meal,
"I can’t do it, Georgia will not be so lenient this time," she proclaimed to Lucy,
"You’ve been requested, otherwise I’d most definitely take your place,"
"Requested by whom? Not Lord Cassidy surely? If Georgia was to even hear a murmur of this she’ll have heart failure!"
"I’m not sure by who Bianca, but Georgia need never know," Lucy replied trying to make her feel better,

So Bianca found herself later that evening walking towards the dining room, pushing a lavish silver tray that contained the first course of a 3 course meal; and a flagon of wine. She entered the room quietly trying to not draw attention to herself. Seated around the table were Lord and Lady Luxembourge, Lord Davenport who had been placed besides Georgia and Lord Cassidy. They were all talking animatedly about estates; except Georgia. Bianca placed a plate neatly in front of each person, careful not to look at Chase as she put his own in front of him. Then she quickly filled each goblet with wine and scurried from the room. Giving them the required time to eat their first course, she filled her tray with the second and returned, repeating the process of before she again darted from the room. The last course was finally ready to be served and she was only moments away from being free from this horrible ordeal; she entered the room and cleared away the empty plates, and slowly began to serve up the dessert of pudding.

Everyone had their pudding except Chase; she returned to the tray to retrieve it and then made her way over to place the bowl in front of him. Her heart was pounding, but again she refused to even acknowledge he was there, she leaned in front of him with the bowl and suddenly lost her grip, somehow she managed to stop herself from dropping the bowl but not without a slight amount of the puddings sauce from falling onto Chase’s leg. No one else but Chase seemed to notice and Bianca was frozen solid not knowing what to do. Finally she looked up into Chase’s eyes, the penetrating gaze catching her off guard and the millions of butterflies swarming into her stomach. Chase carefully without bringing to anyone’s attention what was happening, eased Bianca’s hand down so she placed the bowl of pudding in front of him. He reached out and took the napkin that was laying to his left and just as easily wiped up the mess on his leg. Bianca, whose cheeks were now a stained red quickly turned back to her tray and left the room.

For the next week Bianca stayed as far away as she could; she even helped shovel out one of the horses stables to be away from the Manor for a good few hours; that’s not to say she didn’t catch a glimpse or two of him every now and then. There was now only 3 days left before Lord Cassidy’s stay came to an end, and it seemed that Georgia and Lord Davenport were going to be wed. Lucy and Bianca had come to this conclusion when Georgia had cried for over an hour in her room. So one good thing about this fortnight was when everyone left, Georgia would be leaving too.
"The first night she’s gone, I’m going to jump on her bed just because i can," Lucy stated when they were walking back from the chickens pen one morning,
"I’m going to breathe easy again," Bianca replied,
Lucy looked towards Bianca and frowned,

"I can’t believe you let her get to you like that, out of all people Bianca, I thought you were one of the ones who never gave her a second thought,"
"I don’t, but I’ve never seen her get so angry before, I thought it best just to keep the peace,"
They kept walking for awhile in silence before Lucy started speaking again,
"Thomas and I are meeting again tonight, it’s been awhile since last time because of all these visitors and extra work, but we both managed to get tonight off,"
"That’s great, you can finally wear the dress you’ve been waiting so long to show off," Bianca teased,
Lucy giggled as they both entered the Manor.
