A Witch's Destiny - Ch. 7
Diane and Brad argues...
"Diane! Wait, don't leave." Brad shouted.
Diane stopped and turned around, "Brad, I don't know what's happening to me, but I need to figure out things; it's for my mission."
"No need to go alone. I'll help you." Brad pleaded.
"No Brad!" I can't be distracted..."
"Distracted! I'm that distracting!" he hollered.
"You're selfish." Diane shouted. "I thought you truely loved me, but I must've been wrong. All I see is a desperate guy who wants someone's affection. What's sad is Thomas checked up on me when it's suppose to be you!"
"I'm sorry I'm not perfect; here," Brad reached out for her hand.
"Don't touch me!" she cried out and put a forcefield around her. "We're done," and she took the necklace off of her, and threw it on the ground.
"But..."
Diane raced out of the apartment and went to the street. She wants to be alone, but she can feel Brad's bond within her crying out.
"Leave me alone!" Diane cried out.
After ten minutes of running, she got to an ally and sat down. The bond still pounding hard to reach her. Diane's fists tightened and she tightly closed her eyes, hoping everything would just end.
"Are you fine?"
Diane looked up and saw Brett, she quickly put up a force field.
"You seem hurt, you can talk to me."
"Leave me alone."
Brett sat down beside Diane and sighed, "We're the same, we're outcasts."
"Why would you say that." Diane looked up slowly.
"Because nobody knows the real us, all they know is how powerful our powers are, but they don't know what's inside the holder."
"I'm not powerful." Diane quickly said.
"Hell, you are. It's tough to toss out lightning bolts, but you're not as strong as me." he smirked.
Diane looked past his purple hair, orange eyes, his stubbly face, a strong mouth, and actually see concern.
"Why would you say that?" Diane sighed.
"Because nobody except me can do this." Brett placed a hand on Diane's forcefield and it started to fade away. It feels like her defenses is being penetrated. Then his hand touched her face.
"See, I'm powerful." he whispered. "And so are you."
Diane could hardly breath. He's this close to Diane, but she felt safe, comfort being with him.
"Diane Garth." he muttered.
Her heart jumped and he picked her up.
"Where are you taking me?" she asked.
"Home. Not like before in the basement. Including you have nowhere to go." he said.
Diane's insides burned, the bond from Brad is strong, but Brett is something completely different.
Purple dust whirled around them and they disappeared, all she can see is purple and black.
