A Witch's Destiny - Ch. 16

Whiteness everywhere. Diane looked around, nowhere to go.
"Hello?" she said and it echoed.
Nothing, she walked forwards, everything is white. Then she heard humming and a beautiful noise.
She turned around and a golden gate was there and a few seconds ago there was nothing.
"Heaven?" Diane muttered.
She started to walk to the gate and something told her to stop.
"Diane!" yelled a voice.
Her heart started to speed up. What's going on?
"Diane! Wake up!"
Brett!

"Diane!" his voice cried out, sounding like tears in it.
"Diane, come back to us. We need you," Thomas's voice softly said.
"I'm sorry, Diane. I should have trusted you," Logan's voice cracked.
Out of nowhere, a glowing, energy ball floated down to Diane. She reached out to touch it, and it zapped her like electricity.
"What are you?"
"I am a spirit," it said.
Diane took a few steps back and stared.
"Don't be afraid, I'm here to help."
"Help?"
"Yes. See, this isn't suppose to be 'your' time yet, but you sacrificed yourself to stop Brad..."

"What happened to Brad?" Diane asked.
"He went to Hell. He's not wanted in the House of God. You are a hero, and deserve better. So we're giving you your life back because there's a lot of people waiting for you."
"Brett!"
"Especially Brett. He loves you, spend your life with him."
Diane started to cry and suddenly she's back to Earth. She opened her eyes and the gang yelled for Brett.
"Diane!" he yelled, sliding on the ground, then hugged her tightly. "I thought you died!" he cried.

Diane cried with him, and Thomas and Logan looked at each other then smirked.
"I'm glad you're safe," Thomas gleefully said.
"Good thing you're alive. These guys would kill each other," Logan chuckled.
"Brett, I'm glad you care for me," she whispered.
His arms tightened around Diane and she snuggled into him.
"Don't worry, you'll never be out of sight again," he sobbed.
Thomas bent over and gave Diane a small hug.
"Thomas cares for Diane and Brett," Logan smirked.
"Somebody needs to," Thomas winked. "They're family now."
Diane and Brett looked at Thomas at the same time.
"Yeah, you two are special to me. You both saved the world from brad. So, might as well be part of the family."

"Thanks," Diane and Brett said together.
Brett got up and helped Diane get up, but her legs gave out. He carefully picked her up and started to walk.
"Brett, I saw Heaven. It's beautiful. The only reason I came back was you, and that I saved the world; but mainly you," she softly said.
"I'm glad you came back," he said and then kissed her.
His energy flowed into her, feeling his powers healing her body.
Her hand touched his face and her eyes locked to Brett's orange eyes.
"Thanks," she whispered.
"That's just part of it," he teased.
Diane softly laughed and went into Logan's apartment building.
