A Witch's Destiny - Ch. 15

"So, this is Snipe City," Diane muttered. "Don't expect me to talk to Logan."
"You don't have to," Thomas sighed. "I'll talk to him, and you two do recon," and Thomas left them.
"We should split up," Diane suggested.
"We shouldn't," Brett said.
"We'd find him faster split up. I'll be fine, trust me on this," Diane smoothly said.
Brett groaned and walked away. Diane stood there for a few seconds and headed outside.

Dusk is about here, and Diane ran around the building to a fenced in area. Basketball area and a tennis court is there.
Diane slowly walked to a hoop and touched it. The cold feeling of the metal made her shiver.
She quickly turned around, hearing something crack or a snap noise. Her eyes scanned everywhere but nothing.
Found anything yet? Diane thought.

I think Brad ran out back, I saw a shadow. Just please be careful. Brett gently thought.
Her eyes scanned outside the fenced area, just to check if Brad is near.
"Looking for me."
Diane quickly spun around and Brad stood right behind her. She walked backwards until she hit the fence.
"Not happy to see me?"
"Lets end it now," Diane insisted.
Brad grabbed a hold of her shoulder and squeezed. Pain flexed through her shoulder.
"Flames here, flames now, come to me with a pow!" and she put her hands on Brad's chest and blasted him.

Brad flew backwards and hit the fence on the other side of the court.
"I see you're becoming braver," Brad coughed out and his t-shirt burned.
Then he disappeared, and Diane stayed alert.
Brett, he's with me. I been fighting with him...
Brad put her in a choke hold, appearing behind her was the best move.
"You may have the better training, but I'm quicker than you," Brad softly said, tightening his grip.
Diane gritted her teeth, made a fist, and quickly hit Brad in the groin.
Brad fell backwards, and hit the ground without loosening his grip. Diane landed on Brad.

Brad moaned loudly and Diane squirmed to get out of his grasp, but it tightened.
"You're going to pay for that!" he hissed between his teeth.
Brad sat up and slid Diane close to his body.
"I miss you. Your better off with me," he whispered against her neck.
Diane turned her head, and tried to punch him again, but he was too quick.
"There is nothing you can do," he chuckled.
There is too; Brett, where are you? I'm in serious trouble.
Suddenly Brett came out of nowhere and came towards Diane and Brad.
"Don't come closer, or I'll kill Diane."
"Don't worry about me!" she shouted.

But I can see you hurt. he thought softly.
Brett, I have a plan, but, I might be hurt or worse. As long as brad goes down, the world can be safer.
No! Diane, you can't do it! I don't want you to go! Please, there has to be another way! his thought was loud.
Brett, I love you.
Diane shut her eyes and energy flared out of her body. It's like static, everything becoming electrified.

"No! I can't seem to let her go!" Brad yelled.
"Brad, you deserve everything you get!" Diane said.
The power got stronger and stronger, then she realized that she can hurt the world. So she placed a force field up.
The energy bouncing around them, seeing yellow, orange, and red. The power got so great, then it exploded into darkness.
