A Witch's Destiny - Ch.14
Hey viewers, I'm back from vacation. Sorry for the long wait, I do believe there is three more chapters until the ending of this story, but I'm already have the next story started. I know I'm starting to love it, hope you viewers love it too.
They appeared in Brett's house and he put her on his couch. Then Brett sat down beside her.
"I feel so horrible, I should have stopped." he muttered.
"You tried but it got out of control. Don't blame yourself for my actions. Hey, you're fine, the world is safe." Diane propped her head on Brett's shoulder.
He placed a hand on Diane's cheek and closed his eyes. The surge of energy tingled her skin, and passed through her body. It wasn't the powerful energy from last night, but soothing, relaxing, healing.
Diane looked up and she saw Brett crying. She got up and hugged him.
"I'm so sorry. I'd never forgive myself." Brett sobbed.
"You didn't hurt me." and he glared, "well, alittle bit hurt, but I'm fine."
"I could've killed you." he whispered.
"See, that was the risk I took because I wanted you to be safe. I'd give up my life to see your's safe."
Brett tightly hugged her, not wanting to ever let her go.
"Brett," she shrugged away from him. "Do you have something in the oven?"
"No. Why would..." then he sniffed the air, "oh shit." Then Brett grabbed Diane and rushed her to the door, but it wouldn't budge.
"What's going on?" Diane asked.
"Someone caught my house on fire, and either the door is stuck or it's jammed or something."
"My God! We need to get out!" Diane quickly said.
Brett grabbed Diane's hand and rushed towards the window, but it was also locked.
"Damn!" Brett yelled.
"We need out!"
"I'm going to get us out, hold on." Brett pulled Diane to him.
Diane looked around and they're still in the house.
"It didn't work! Damn!" Brett loudly said. "My powers didn't work, shit."
"That's not good."
Suddenly, flames bursted out of the vents like gasoline was poured onto it.
"Diane!" Brett pulled her away from the flames.
"Aqua spray!" Diane shouted and nothing happened, "My powers don't work!"
"I have a feeling that Brad did this." Brett muttered.
"Brett!" Diane squeaked and pulled Brett away from a flame.
"Thanks." Brett picked up a chair and threw it at the window, but it bounced back. "It's impossible."
"Brad must've put a spell on the house. We're trapped!" Diane started to cry.
"Don't worry." Brett held her tightly.
"Stay away from the door. I'm coming in!" a voice yelled.
"Thomas! Hurry up!" Diane yelled.
Thomas kicked the door, and it swung open.
"Come on! Unless you want to burn alive!" Thomas shouted and they followed him.
They hit fresh air and Diane hugged Thomas.
"I thought you don't like him." she softly said.
"A change of heart, one may say. You were in trouble ans I'd help. Oh, I saw Brad run away when he saw me. He ran north, near..."
Diane jerked her head quickly to see what Thomas's problem.
"Snipe City. I need a cell phone." Thomas quickly said.
"Use mine," and Brett tossed the phone.
"Thanks, kid."
Brett sneered at Thomas's remark and held Diane's hand. They listened to Thomas talk to somebody, speed talking, basically slurred speech. Then he clicked off the phone.
"We need to get to Snipe City." Thomas said.
"Okay." Brett said.
"Let get this over with." Diane quickly said.
They left in great speed to Brad.
