"A job well done, Diane." the blond elder happily said.
"You handled it well." the burnette elder said.
"I'm alright?" Diane asked.
"Yes." both elders said together. "You're healing right now."
Diane looked away from the elders and she sighed for relief.
"What I don't understand is why Brad betrayed the organization?" the burnette asked.
Diane's gaze reached the elders, "Because he was jealous of me."
"Hmm, interesting." the blond replied.
"Is Brad still out there?"
"Yes. His power keep enhancing every hour. You need to figure out a way to stop him." the burnette said.
"Is Brett alright after his episode?" Diane softly asked.
Both elders stared at Diane, "Yes he is. He really cares about you and same goes for you. Seems like he won't do anything horrific to the world as long he cares for you."
Diane sat down and let her mind reel. Being with Brett makes her happy, but she risked her own life protecting everybody from him.
The burnette elder stood up and said, "This discussion is over. Diane, you'll be waking up."

*
Warmth all over her body. Diane slowly opened her eyes to dimmed lights.
"Thomas! She's up." Erika quickly said.
Diane tried to get up, but Erika demanded her to lay down for awhile.
"You seem to be doing well. I told you he was dangerous." Thomas harshly said.
"Where is he?"
"Why? I don't want him anywhere near my wife."
"Why? Because I love him!" Diane shouted.
Erika walked towards Thomas and grabbed his hand. "Thomas, tell her. Remember when you first told me how dangerous you were, and you told me you're a vampire. But I stayed with you, thick and thin. Diane is in my position, she has a right to know."
Thomas heavily sighed, "He left town an hour ago."
Diane tried to get up again but Erika told her to stay on the couch.
Five minutes after Thomas and Erika left, Diane got really lonely.
Brett. Diane called through the bond.
Nothing. Diane started to worry about Brett and something murmered.
Brett? Diane called more urgently.
Oh, Diane. I'm so sorry I hurt you! I should have not used my powers. You're better off without me.

No! Brett, I love you. It was either I died or everybody in this planet died, or worse. Brett, I want to be with you.
Suddenly, out of the corner, brett came out. His purple hair all messed up and his shirt is torn. But the thing she noticed quickly is his eyes are abit red.
"Were you crying?" Diane softly said.
"Yeah. i thought I killed you." Brett whispered and knelt next to her. "I'll never do that again."
Diane looked away and she held back tears. Her eyes started to sting.
"What's the matter?"
"I don't want you to stop using your powers. You're special, just like me. Please don't give up, especially I need your help to bring down Brad."
"I'll be there with you." Brett smiled and held her hand.
Somebody knocked on the door, and Brett got up and headed to the corner.
"Brett, no. Please stay with me." she cried out.
"They don't like me."

"Then they can deal with it."
Brett walked back to Diane and sat down by her head.
Thomas came through the door and he started to growl. Diane sat up and sat beside Brett.
"Sorry Diane. I just don't like him." Thomas harshly said.
"That's fine, I'm leaving."
"But you're still weak." Thomas declared.
"And I'm her boyfriend." I can take care of her!"
"Yeah and we all saw what happened in the force field! You tried to kill us!"
"Guys! Shut up! I'm leaving Thomas. I'm going to find Brad and Brett is helping." Diane shouted.
"Fine. Good luck Diane." Thomas softly said and left.
Diane stood up and Brett held on tight to her.
"I don't need you to fall." he whispered.
Diane smirked and hugged him. "Are you ready to go?"
"Yep." and they vanished.
