A Witch's Destiny - Ch. 10
Diane is unconscious...
I must be dreaming. Diane thought.
"Diane, you're here because we, unfortunately, made a mistake." said a blond elder.
"Yes, we thought this Brett is the one, but he actually isn't. He has an evil spirit around him, but he doesn't use it a lot. There's somebody out there, getting ready for chaos." said the burnette elder.
"Do you know who is it?" Diane asked.
"Yes, you have to find out." both elders said.
Something felt wrong here, Diane thought, "What are you guys saying?"
Suddenly the world went upside down and Diane started to panic. A laughter echoed in the distance and Brad came out of the shadows. "So, you went with the bad boy. Looks like we'll have to kill you alongside him."
Diane's heart sped up; Brad looking different, angry.
"If you touch him, I will kill you!" she hissed.
"'Oh, I don't have the heart to kill somebody.' Please, save the drama." Brad laughed. He walked over to Diane and grabbed her throat. "Any last requests."
Diane tried to flick her force field up, but nothing happened. She started to hack.
"I can believe you. Broke our bond, made love to the creep but not to me, ran away." he growled.
Brett, save me. Diane weakily thought.
Brad slammed Diane to a wall with great pleasure. She fell to the floor hard, and Brad sat on top of her.
"I'm going to get back what the asshole took from me." Brad laughed.
His hands touched Diane's body and he started to try to tug clothes off. Diane fought against Brad.
"No, stay away. Brett!" she cried.
His mouth on her's forcing her to kiss him back.
"Get off of her." Brett angrily said and tossed him aside. He helped Diane up. "Are you okay?"
She nodded and hugged him, "You know, Brad. That was clever of changing my dreams around, pointing fingers at Brett. I figured it out, and you're the evil one here."
"So what, I'm evil. I been jealous of you since childhood. You get the attention, you get the better training. I want it all but you two are the strongest of them all. So I'll kill you both!"
Brett's grip tightened around Diane and he took steps back.
"I figured out you were evil. With the flames and the really controlling bond!" Diane shouted. "I felt your energy within me, and you used my powers to send the attack at Brett."
Brad started to laugh, "You don't get it. Brett has some evil powers, and so do you. During the containment, I blocked all the evil signature out so the elders would let you go so I made the bond. The bond between us was made by a spell I casted, until he showed up and ruined it. So technically, you two are evil and need to be disposed of."
Diane jerked back to consciousness with Brett holding her tight.
"Brett." Diane weakly said and touched his face.
"Oh, God. I need to get you away from here."
"No. We'll fight Brad and whoever comes after us. I just can't believe I'm evil." tears streamed down her face.
Brett put his head on Diane's and stared into her green eyes, "You're not evil, I'm not evil. In our opinion, Brad is evil. He set you up all these years and you need to put him in his place." Brett gently wiped tears away.
"I think I knew why your dreams kept flicking back and forth, because I was in a middle of a lie and you were trying to get me to see the light." Diane sniffled. "I'm glad I didn't kill you with that heat blast spell."
"Same here, I was a tidbit scared. Now you're on my side; just you and me, alone." Brett whispered.
