A Very Old One of Mine

Read it and see !
I don't care if I'm living these days,
With my brain in a haze,
As long as there are ways,
To keep me happy!
I open my mind,

And what do I see?
A shining key!
Something for me?
Nothings for free!
How can the world possibly be,

Full and complete,
With rubbish to be!
I feel so clean!!
With my mind on the outside,
And my eye on the in,

The situations are inside out..
And feathers are grim!
Spinally tapped,
For pleasure or sin,
What does it matter,

When you take nothing in!
I'll twist and shout,
Ask what it's all about,
My roundabout ways..
Are like a craze of aces,

How would you feel,
Seeing so many faces?
How do you feel putting people in their places?
Is it a mark?
Disguise?

Face lift??
Sometimes I feel like I'm dying,
But strangely enough,
You won't see me crying!
My eyes are tired,

From all this lying,
Somehow I feel that something is prying!
There's a space in my mind,
Where my emotions are hiding.
A solitary existence of another kind,

A runaway train on another line,
Be careful where you dig and what you hope to find,
When you look to the sun you might cast yourself blind!
Where is that touch so soft and kind?
