A Typical Love Story

The first short English story I write .. hope u like it
In the long crowded streets of one small city in somewhere in this huge world. The moving cars had interrupted the silence of the first hours of the dawn. White doves fluttered about in the sunshine. Hundreds of students were entering the gate of the college, but one student named, "Adel," seemed to be waiting for someone with some pink flowers. After a while a girl showed up and waved to him then he waved back. The girl named, "Yasmin," went to Adel and looked at the flowers and smiled, "It's my favorite color!" "I know." Said Adel. "Now let's go or else we will be seen, dear!" The couple rushed to the beach as they used to do recently. Missing couple of classes wouldn't be a big deal to them.

The two lovers were sitting on the soft golden sand, watching the light blue waves and enjoying the fresh morning air. They have been doing that for a while. Their story was the latest gossip for the students at the college. Yasmin was the envy of Samira, who claimed to be Yasmin's best friend. Samira had loved Adel secretly but never told anyone, so hearing such news was a great shock to her. Samira wanted to break their relationship by any possible way.

On that day Samira went to Yasmin's house and met her father. She told him about his daughter's love story, and with some drama and crocodile tears to show that she is worried about Yasmin. She successfully convinced him that, "Adel," is completely the wrong guy for his only daughter. Samira after that had left with feeling of victory.

Two hours later Yasmin came back home and meant to go to her room, when her father called her "Yasmin, Come over here!" Her father's tone didn't sound so good. He seemed to be very angry when she went to him "Yes, dad." "How was your class today?" He asked her. "I have spent great time." Answered Yasmin. "Really?! And did you go boating? You know that the weather is more than perfect to do that! Isn't it ?" Said her father. "Boating?" Wondered Yasmin, dad I don't know what does that mean!"

"Would you please stop pretending?! I know everything about Adel and you... and to be clear. I was so disappointed!" Said her father.
"Dad... My love for Adel is not a crime!" Said Yasmin angrily.
"Watch your tone, young lady!" Replied her father. "I don't want to hear any explanations... Tomorrow you and I will go to meet a guy I have chosen for you and he will be your husband. He is a perfect guy." Said the father.

"What the?! I won't meet anyone! Dad I love Adel and he adores me! And I want to marry him... dad! You don't even know him! Give him a chance, please dad please! He was about to come and meet you to discuss our topic." Said Yasmin with shiny eyes.

"No need to meet anyone... listen to me. I know the best for you, Yasmin." Said her father.
"Well, I think I'm old enough to know what's the best for me, dad." Said Yasmin with much confidence." Then... you shall go with the one who washed your brain and never come back! It's up to you!" Said the father with deep pain in his heart.

Yasmin looked at her father and could say no more. She went to her room and took some of her clothes and went out with tears. She walked for hours without having a specific direction. She was too shocked to understand what has just happened!! She has never had such an argument with her father. Finally she stopped walking... she has realized that her steps led her to the boys hostel of her college." Oh! Adel... he is the only one who can help me right now! "Thought Yasmin. She rushed to Adel's room and knocked the door. Adel was very surprised to see her at such time." What are you doing here, Yasmin?!" Yasmin told him everything and that her father doesn't want to see her anymore.

She expected him to hug her perhaps that would make her feel safe... when he unconsciously slammed the door of his room!! Yasmin has frozen physically and mentally! The twenty year girl felt dizzy and she leaned against the wall... so many tears were kept in her black eyes... but she was able to bear some more. It took Adel half an hour to gather himself and open the door... he helped her to stand up and hugged her tightly. She felt like crying but still was able to bear it. Adel calmed her down with gentle pats on her shoulders." It's ok my love... everything will be fine. I'm with you... always with you." Whispered Adel. Few words were Adel's but it meant a lot to Yasmin. She felt like she can smile now." Yes, dear I think everything will be fine as long as you are with me." Replied Yasmin, "I knew that you would help me." Said Yasmin kissing Adel's cheek. "It's nothing my dear." Said Adel, "Now let's get out before you get caught." Adel took Yasmin to the girls hostel for there was no another place for her to go.

It took Yasmin a long time to accept her new reality... being away from her father... the one who brought her up for all those years. Would he forget about his daughter that simply? Missing her dead mother was another a story of pain that she had to bear... but her life went on.

One lovely morning, the weather was so nice. That's why Adel asked Yasmin to go with him for a walk. "I would love to!" Said Yasmin. The soft wind was adding a gentle addition to that romantic scene. "Oh my God! Are you serious?" Yasmin answered when Adel had asked her to marry him. "I'm serious more than anything else I have ever wanted." Said Adel. "Surly, Yes!" Said Yasmin. He hugged her. Yasmin had a blissful day... one that she needed long time ago. The extent of her happiness could take her to the moon and send her back to earth... a feeling that can't be described in words.

The days had passed and they got married. They spent their honeymoon traveling among lots of countries. Yasmin was extremely happy as well as Adel. She thought that nothing would change this amazing feeling in her no matter what. But day by day. This feeling has started to change. Yasmin couldn't understand Adel anymore! He gets angry with no particular reason! And he doesn't talk to her much and spend most of his time working out that he became too busy to ask her." How are you, dear?" Adel was now just a typical businessman!

At that day, Yasmin wanted to solve it out with Adel... and once she started to talk to him. He got so angry and left the house... she got so sad... and was afraid as well... she loved him so much and he was her only family... she just didn't want to lose him. She went to the bedroom. She thought, "Maybe a nice dream would make me feel better." There was one of Adel's jackets on the pillow, so she picked it up to put back in the closet when some pictures fell down from the jacket. She bent to take them and looked at the pictures. Yasmin was so speechless and astounded... and her tears fell down on the pictures while she was holding them. She with fury tore up all the pictures into small pieces and she burst into tears. The pictures were of Adel with another girl who seemed to be more than friends.

Three days had passed... Yasmin was a mute... still can't realize what was going on around her. Adel has started to notice that she has changed. "Are you ok, darling?" Asked Adel. Yasmin looked at him... "Why?" She said with her eyes filled with tears. "What are you talking about, dear?" Wondered Adel..." I have seen the pictures... all of them... or at least the ones I have found in your jacket. Only God knows if there were more." Said Yasmin.

"I have nothing to say." Said Adel with much coldness. "But I have!! I need to know, Adel! Why? Why would you do that? What have I done to you? I was giving you all what I have and more! I was being loving and loyal wife! And this is how you reward me, Adel? I thought we would never go through such conversation. And I thought you loved me Adel... why?!" Said Yasmin while she was weeping and sniffling. "Please, don't cry! You really meant me the world one day. Just not anymore. I'm sorry... things change." Said Adel. "Things change? Wow! That simply? Just things change?" Said Yasmin.

"Our love has broken now I think. Each one of us should go in his way. We shouldn't hide from the facts." Said Adel seriously. "Oh! Our love hasn't just broken! It had been broken the day when I came to your room." Said Yasmin while wiping her tears away.

Adel held his tears and went out. The girl in the picture was waiting for him in the car! Adel went away with his new beloved, "Samira!" And Yasmin was staring at them from the window when she thought, "Tears Will Dry..."
