A Trio of Short Poems
Three short poems, all completely different. Please comment, I would love to hear what you think of them.
Forget me
Remember the ones,
Who gave their lives for yours,
Remember your loved ones,
For you they' break laws.
Remember your head,
Remember your heart,
Remember I'm here,
We never have to part.
Salem Witch Trials
How many people?
How many lives?
Over 160 accused,
In a town full of lies.
19 hanged,
13 died in jail,
Men, women and children,
Tried, killed and failed.
Freedom
Under lock and key,
Waiting for justice,
Will justice come?
Under constant watch,
Waiting with patience,
When will patience be lost?
Under the dream,
Flying like a bird,
Is freedom ever found?
Will freedom be found?
A small voice says,
Probably not.
