A Teenage Crisis - Seven
Part seven...Tinzy finds out some truths. (end of Tinzy/Jack story)
Tinzy knew she was unconscious. She didn’t know how she knew, she just did. Everything felt unreal…she saw nothing…she felt everything. Was she floating? Was she in water? No. Its was too dense to be water. Too light to be solid. Mercury. That’s the only substance she could think of that described what she felt. She was in a pool of mercury. Swimming in it. Completely naked and free. Suddenly she heard a voice. A male voice…calling someone’s name. It sounded like Jack’s voice but not quite. Calling not her name but someone else’s name. Someone named Kaylin. What the hell is a demampyre? Then she felt pain.
"Tinzy! Tinzy! Can you hear me? If you can try to give us a sign."
"How about you just shut the hell up and stop screaming in her face you dumbass."
"What? I’m just telling the truth. She prolly needs more of mom's healing meds."
What the heck? Why did Tinzy hear two Jacks talking to each other? Something wasn’t right…
"Tinzy you should wake up now. Time is a-wasting." At that Tinzy opened her eyes. It was dim, but other than that whatever she felt before, the pain, was gone. She sat up trying to take in her surroundings. Everywhere she looked there was a shelf crammed with vials, books, jars, plants, candles and incense. It looked like the back of a voodoo shop. She felt two magical pulls. One was clearly a vampire wizard. The other...not so much. More like a werewolf/wizard/vampire all rolled into one. Weird.
"Where are we Jack?" As she stared at the person in front of her she realized it was not Jack but someone creepily similar to him. She tensed up about to get defensive. When the body in the shadows spoke. "Tinzy meet my brother, James." James looked like a smaller version of Jack; with grey eyes instead of brown and not as muscular. He was a kid it seemed.
"So you are the Rarity Angel. Nice tah meetcha." With the look of confusion on Tinzy’s face James knew he let his tongue slip. "Oh, he hasn’t told you yet, has he? Well then I will tell you aaallll-" he started but Jack cut him off.
"James shut the hell up."
"Make me." Jack simply glared at him the next second and silence greeted the room.
"Tinzy I am sorry that everything has been such a rush," Jack finally looked at Tinzy. He looked older somehow, did she guess his age right? "But things have been getting a bit confusing and dangerous since I located you."
"What do you-"
"Right now you have to listen Tinzy. We only have a limited amount of time. As you know already you are an Angel. You have wings, magical abilities, and an unspoken of power that you will grow into. This is why you are considered one of the three Rarities."
Tinzy absorbed this in. She started thinking of her mother all those years ago. What was really happening that day?
Jack continued. "My assignment as leader of The Guard was to locate the Rarity Angel when I reach a certain level in my powers. James here is assigned to the Rarity Demampyre, and our sister Pressy, who is currently on assignment, is locating the Rarity Aemowolf. Once the three Rarities are together, the powers unleashed from within you all, can we stop Mammon." Tinzy looked at James.
"Mammon?" She asked.
Now it was James’ turn to speak. "Yes, Mammon. The Devil. Also known as your great-grandfather…sorta way back there. Its because of him that-"
"James!"
"Oh sorry." James smiled at Tinzy and left the room.
Tinzy fell back onto the small bed she was lying on. Oh damn, she thought as she closed her eyes.
"Tinzy?" James spoke. "Just so you know now, the three Rarities are related by blood. So you have family floating out there with powers similar to yours."
Just great she thought. Just what I need. Family. OH MY GOSH! "Dad!" Her eyes snapped open and she was someplace else entirely. "Jack?"
"No Tinzy. It's me. Daddy. Come here Tinzy."
"What's wrong with you daddy? Where am I?"
"Someplace where nobody will ever harm you again. Come closer child so I can see you."
That voice was not her dad's. She just stood there in blindness. A hand touched her shoulder. It pulled her hard to the floor. "Bow down and submit your powers to me or suffer the consequences!"
She looked up and saw a face to ugly to be described. A slow crawling hotness shot out from where the hand touched her shoulder. She tried to pull away but it was really no use. Jack she thought, Jack!
A small poof and Jack grabbed her but her waist and poofed her back to the small shop. The light was on now and James was holding a few damp towels. Also holding the towels was a white haired woman with worried sketched into her face. Tinzy looked down and noticed that not only was she naked but she was covered in sweat, dirt and bruises.
She ran in embarrassment to the woman and got cleaned up. She found out that the woman was their mother who just happened to be a very good healing witch. "What just happened?" She asked the witch.
"Mammon is evil. Always remember this, child. He will do anything to get a Rarity's power."
"What is my Rarity power?"
She looked down at this question. Sighing she fessed up.
"You are just like your mother. Same beauty, same attitude from what Jack tells me." She smiled. "What nobody anticipated was that you would also inherit her same power. It is unheard of that it got passed down from mother to daughter."
"That doesn't really answer my question."
"You have the power to transport your loved ones to you or vice-versa just by saying their name." Jack said out of nowhere.
"But I wanted my dad, not Mammon!"
"Looks like Mammon has your dad near him." The witch said sadly. She hugged Tinzy tightly and left Tinzy and Jack alone. Tinzy didn't look at Jack. The truth was out there now. Jack found out that Tinzy fell in love with him.
"Tinzy..." He stopped, clearly not knowing what to say. Then his eyes brightened. "Tinzy, are you ready to learn how to fight?"
"What?"
"You have to know how to fight in order to stay safe, right? Why not now?" Tinzy looked at him contemplating the entire situation of her newfound fate and this badgering love for Jack.
"OK fine. But you still have to tell me more about the situation. What about the necklace? And the dream I had of your dad?"
"Tinzy. That can wait for another day. Don't you just ever stop thinking?"
Tinzy smiled and got ready to train. She was exhausted but she knew that the sooner she got done with it the sooner the truth, the whole entire truth, would be revealed.
