"Mommy! Where are my blue and pink socks?" Tinselda shouted.
Her mother, Magana, who was waiting in the kitchen, replied, "I don’t know honey, maybe they are in the bottom drawer. Have you checked the laundry basket?"
"I’ll check mommy."
"Well if you can’t find them, find some other pair of socks." She turned towards her husband who was drinking a soda, "Derek can’t you get in the car that way we can all just leave as soon as Tinzy comes down?"
"Sure honey, want me to bring the food to the car?"
"Yeah that would be nice too." Magana smiled appreciatively as she kissed the man she married. He walked out with a medium-sized tray in his hands heading for the garage.
Their daughter, Tinselda, was eight years old and was very bright. She was also Magana’s only child since that is sort of like a family trait. When she was born she decided to put her up for adoption but Derek stopped her. She never really was fond of the tiny baby girl but after all this time Magana finally fell in love with her smart little Tinzy.
Derek, of course, was immediately attached to her. He wanted to be the perfect dad. It is cute for now but when she gets older it would be considered as over-protectiveness. Although it wasn’t until recently something has been bothering Derek.
Tinzy has been waking up in the middle of the night more frequently. It has become worse now since she started speaking gibberish. Both parents wanted the best for her so they committed her to a psychiatric ward six times already with Magana’s refusal of course. Magana insisted that Tinzy was fine that it was just a stage and Tinzy would grow out of it, or into it. Magana knew something and was keeping both of her family members in the dark. Magana checked the clock; thirty minutes have passed. "Tinzy are you done? Come on down let me see how pretty you look!"
She went through the house to the bottom of the stairs. When Tinselda didn’t appear, she quickly started up the stairs, "Tinzy, come down," she demanded in a more stern voice. She reached her daughters bedroom and went in. "Tinzy! What…"
The scene in front of her stopped her in her tracks. There was blood on the floor. Not a lot, but enough to get a mother worried about the safety of her eight-year-old daughter. Magana’s eyes lifted from the blood and looked up to see her daughter suspended from the floor as if in someone’s grasp. She was bleeding from a deep cut on her head somewhere. It was bleeding profusely. It looked like someone poured a bucket of blood over her head.
"Mommy, go away, run before it gets you too."
"Tinzy, don’t worry I can see it too. You’re not the only one. I understand what you say. You are not crazy." Magana went to her daughter and tried to pull her free but it was to no avail.
"Mommy run you are making it mad! Mommy please run, please I don’t want you to die." Tinzy screamed as the thing tightened its hold on her body.
"Honey, sweetheart I won’t die. I’ll help you, just stay calm."
Tinzy watched as her mother started speaking. To Tinzy it was as if she spoke English but to someone else it would have been gibberish. "Lekinn inaught padok emnanu herisse!"
Saying this Magana sent balls of green fire towards the creature. The creature screamed and let Tinzy go. Tinzy scrambled to her feet and ran towards her mom. Her mother came towards her daughter but the creature sucked Tinzy right back into its arms. Magana again threw spells and incantation at it. Each time the creature would let Tinzy go, it would right away suck Tinzy back in its arms. Derek, hearing the sudden commotion coming from upstairs, ran up the flight of stairs and barged into the room. There the first thing he witnessed was Tinzy flying across one side of the room. The next he saw Magana with fire coming out of her hands shooting it at something just beyond were Tinzy was at. "What the…" Derek was at a loss for words. Any normal person would. He watched as his wife was fighting some unseen force and his only child being sent flying through the room as if she were a rag doll. He stood there for moments contemplating what in the world to do to help.
"That’s it I can’t take this anymore," said Derek, "I’m getting her out!" With that he flung at Tinzy and started yanking her arms free while punching the invisible, yet very solid, captor. Derek stopped all of a sudden and was thrown across the room and Tinzy was set free. "Mommy!" Tinzy shouted as she headed for her mother yet again. Magana looked at Derek and gave him a small smile. "Derek take Tinzy out and go!"
"Not without you I won’t!" He started forward but he was thrown back where he lost consciousness.
Tinzy saw in horror as her mother fought against the demon that only they two could see. Her mother was throwing great balls of light towards the dark creature. She dodged its attacks effortlessly and all Tinzy could do was gape in awe and wonderment. It was then, when Tinzy started to stare in wonderment, that a stray spell hit Tinzy in the eyes. Magana took no notice of this as she continued to fight off the lone demon.
Tinzy’s eyes burned and she discovered she could still see but everything looked…different. She didn’t understand what she was seeing but everything in the half-destroyed room looked more enhanced. Not knowing it yet, her eyes changed color. The once normal dark brown eyes changed into a beautiful supreme gold that made any golden jewelry look dull. She felt a kind of blaze in her that ignited and she felt an immense power coursing through her veins. She bowed her head not wanting to look at the fight.
Magana stopped and, surprisingly, the demon followed suit. They stared at Tinzy realizing something was wrong.
"Tinzy?"
Hearing her name she looked up and her gaze was met by two different reactions. No! Magana gasped putting her hands to her mouth and shaking with sobs. Yes! Thought the demon, it has begun. I will be greatly rewarded by my master. Acting quickly the demon seized the moment of Magana’s grief and threw one of the most powerful spells he could conjure.
Magana stood no chance with her defense down.
"Mommy!" Tinzy screamed and shot the demon a hard look. The demon’s smile faded and was replaced by a blank look. It was dead before it hit the ground. Tinzy watched as her mother fell. She ran to her holding her in her arms. Now it was Tinzy who was crying.
"Mommy?"
"Tinzy…I’m dying. Listen to my next words carefully. You are not crazy for one. You the descendant of angels that only give birth to one female angel. You cannot stop destiny. It’s in your blood. Your eyes have changed and so will you. That spell that hit your eyes started something."
Her eyes started to unfocused with each word. For a second Tinzy thought she was gone but she started speaking again.
"Find the wizard who stole the Necklace. He will guide you. You will know in time. Your father knows."
With that Magana died in the arms of her only child.

Entry #642
Everyday I feel lost. I feel like I’m trapped in a bubble with limited oxygen and its almost gone. I always feel as if I can’t breathe and there is always a pressure in my chest. Almost like I’m being overwhelmed by life. I always feel the urge to just get away from everything.
I met a demon today. I was scared, but it told me not to worry because it was a good demon trying to buy his way into heaven. It started speaking to me in tongue. Demon language. So that’s what I speak! Finally I was on the right road to some real answers. The psychiatrist told my parents when I was eight that I said the things that I said for attention. Since when is speaking gibberish done only for attention? Anyways, the demon told me that I could speak many languages that were lost to time. I can speak: Diezthre (Demon Language), Angylic (Angel language), Viquik (Vampire language), and Wereinhydron (Werewolf language). I can easily learn others like Fairy, which by the way could come in real handy in the future. But for what, I have no clue.
"Tinselda come and get breakfast!" Derek Wainwright yelled from the kitchen. He was strongly built though the years have weighed him down considerably. Having a teenager living with him is not what he had expected. It would have gone okay if Magana was still alive. I mean teaching your teen daughter about puberty is not easy for a guy. He heard a rapid rumbling coming from the steps. Tinzy waltzed into the kitchen with such simplicity that still astounded Derek till this day. Tinzy gave him a quick kiss on the cheek as she passed him. She was of average height and had glorious natural shiny hair that girl’s her age would die for. Her eyes were almond shaped and would look normal except for their unusual color. The color was a shiny gold that seemed to look into your very soul and nothing would be hidden from their stare.
"Dad can you hand me the syrup? Oh! Don’t forget the lemon."
Tinzy loved to eat pancakes with syrup but she had to have a lemon to squeeze onto the pancakes first. Very unusual he thought at first but Derek soon learned that this was more of an addiction. At least it’s a healthy addiction, he thought as he passed her the syrup and a precut lemon.
"Tinselda we need to talk about something." He looked at her as she talked between bites of pancake.
"We sure do!"
Munch-munch.
"I have some news for you as well."
Munch-munch.
"Okay shoot."
"Well it’s about your new powers. I want to make sure that you haven’t told anyone about them. You know make sure you are hiding your wings efficiently and not doing anything that would give any hint that you are not all human. You know?"
"Dad…" She let her wings spring out and started stroking their silkiness. She gave him a 100-watt smile.
"Now Tinzy I know that I am overprotective and all but its just I don’t want you found out about and then someone evil will come and get you or even kill you. Remember what happened to your-"
Her face turned stony. "Why do you always have to start?"
"I don’t want the same thing to happen…"
"You know what never mind. I’m gone." With a quick flourish she whisked her plate to the sink picked up her backpack from the living room and left.
Outside she fumed with anger. This always happened when someone mentioned her mom. She felt responsible for everything. A black and white cat meowed for her attention but she was too angry.
She walked a couple of blocks where she finally reached her high school. It was what some would call a "preppy school" but the kids were far from preppy. The school was filled with skateboarders and wanna-be gangstas. She stopped at the door and waited for the bell to ring. When it rung she slowly walked to her first class, Trigonometry, but dreaded every step she took.
Dad says I’m supposed to face my fears and still I cannot go into Trig without breaking a sweat. It still scares me.
She walked into the classroom only to cast her head down. She glanced up and to her horror she saw it look at her directly in her eyes. She brought her head down and rushed to her seat. The thing smirked and rose from its seat. Other students would see nothing wrong with the teacher making its way to Tinselda but Tinselda saw every thing wrong with it. She saw her Trig teacher’s real face: a demon. It could easily put harm to her or others but for some reason it was keeping a low profile, as was Tinzy.
"Tinselda Wainwright, how are you?"
"Fine Mr. Vender."
"I have never been better myself. You know the other teachers cannot stop mentioning what and angel you are, wouldn’t you agree Tinselda?"
"Yes Mr. Vender."
"Keep up the good work Tinselda because you passed the exam with flying colors." He turned around and started class. The day went by without any other incident.
"What is happening to me? Do I have a sign on me saying ‘fresh blood’ in Diezthre? Nine demons found me in the past few days. Ever since the wings started growing in I happen to find demons around every corner. Sometimes Mouse, I wished that I were never born. I mean, what is the purpose of this…this…this curse I was born with if I can’t even use them in the right ways? I don’t even know what I’m supposed to do with them. I want to go back to California, maybe there are answers over there for me." Tinzy said to her cat, Mouse. Her dad was allergic to cats so she had to keep Mouse outside in her tree house. Yeah she was proud to admit that she still used her tree house at the age of seventeen. Its better then getting pregnant, or in a gang destroying the streets.
It was good to have Mouse because the cat never left her and always listened. She went out to him every night to unload her crappy day on him. After this she felt much better and either went inside to sleep or if it was early enough she told her dad she was going to take a short walk. She gave a curfew herself to come home no later than nine. After saying goodnight to Mouse, she decided to take a walk. Tinzy walked down the street contemplating her fate in the world when she found herself wandering through an alley.
"Mommy! Where are my blue and pink socks?" Tinselda shouted.
Her mother, Magana, who was waiting in the kitchen, replied, "I don’t know honey, maybe they are in the bottom drawer. Have you checked the laundry basket?"
"I’ll check mommy."
