A Sweet Poison - Chapter - 3 - New School? Hate It....
Here is the third chapter guys....read on.....
Chapter-3
My first impulse was to shout my head off at this suddenly angry-guy and this pretty-wicked girl, but chose to shut my mouth instead. It surely would look horrible if my first impression on this class would be of an angry and rude girl. After all, first impression is the last impression....
Finally mumbling a 'sorry', I went inside the classroom. Once I kept my bag down at an empty desk, suddenly heads turned in my direction. Admiring glances-whispering boys and girls. Hmmmm--I started wondering what were they all whispering????
Hope something nice....!!
Suddenly a girl came up to me, saying, "Hey, hi! I'm Sonali. Are you new?"
"Yeah, I'm a newbie here. I'm Sarah", I replied, shyingly. I liked this cheerful looking Sonali a lot from the first look. Who knows, maybe she'd turn out to be my BFF-best friend forever....??
She hurriedly introduced me to the other girls as the bell rang.
So,the monitor made us all stand height-wise in a straight line and we headed off to the assembly hall.
Gosh, I didn't like the assembly at all. The prayers of this school were new to me. So, I just kept mut, listening too much -so I really got bored.........
Only the National Anthem at last got my wavering attention back. While we were moving back to our classes, I tried to peek at the faces of all my new classmates, and found that cute guy looking at me!!
Meeting my gaze, he swiftly turned away. Gosh, he's the second tallest guy in our class! This I instantly noticed as he was standing second last in our line....'TALL'....
Reaching the classroom, I took my seat immediately as the class teacher came in. Huh, I fell really queasy amidst all these strange faces....
After the attendance, she called me forward and introduced me to the class, saying, "O.K. students. So here is your new classmate-Sarah. Kindly be good to her", in a sing-song voice.
Turning to me, she said again, "Will you like to say a few words to the class, Sarah?", politely.
I was sure that her politeness was was only cuz I was new and when I'd get old in this school, she'll treat me as harshly as any body else, HUH....
